What I love about this years’ Christmas collection from Lush is that part of the products are brand new, but they also brought back some old favourites. I mean, I definitely love to try new products, but if you loved something a whole lot last year it’s always a relief when you find out it’s coming back. The World’s Smallest Disco Bath Bomb is one of those products that’s not new in this years’ Christmas collection. Last year I did buy it but so far I hadn’t tried it yet. I have heard many good things about it that I felt like it was about time to take a bath with it. Just in time so I can decide to stock up on it if I end up loving it. So that’s exactly what I did and today it’s about time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out more about this bath bomb, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Lush World’s Smallest Disco Bath Bomb from the Christmas collection of 2019 looks exactly like what you’d expect it to look like. It’s a black disco ball with all kinds of colours on it. There’s some yellow, pink, green, blue and even orange. It’s literally a bit of everything. I think it looks super festive and like a lot of fun. I also like that the base of the bath bomb is black. I think that will make the other colours pop a lot more once you throw this into your tub. And I also like black bath water, I think it looks very mesmerising.
The size of the The World’s Smallest Disco Bath Bomb is really nice. It’s a standard sized bath bomb. Size doesn’t matter, but I still like to mention it. Looking at the price I think it’s okay. It’s definitely not the cheapest bath bomb, but since it’s a more special bath bomb I think it’s okay. More often than not the bath bombs that have a bit more layers to them are a bit more expensive and I do get that. I mean, making a bath bomb like this does take more work than making a simple one-coloured bath bomb. It makes sense that you pay for that. However, I do think that this is like the maximum amount I’d pay for a bath bomb like this. If it gets even more expensive next year I’m not sure if I’d buy it again.
Since this bath bomb is fairly new to me I didn’t really know what to expect. From the stories I heard I knew that this was going to be spectacular in the tub, but I had no idea what it smelled like for example. So let’s see what Lush has to say about this bath bomb:
We all like a good party, whether it’s boogieing at a bar, shaking what your mama gave ya in a club or dad dancing at a wedding. For when you want to celebrate but don’t fancy socialising, put on your favourite tunes, forget about throwing shapes and toss this bath bomb into a hot bath instead.
There’ll be no more crying at the discotheque, watch uplifting lime and grapefruit oils dance in the air as the colours swirl and strobe across your bath. Get your tipple on with cognac oil as you get down and hit your own private dancefloor (but please don’t actually dance in the bath).”
Okay, so The World’s Smallest Disco will literally be like a party in your tub. I like that a lot. I like parties at home, in my tub, by myself. I know that might sound sad but it isn’t. Anyway, according to Lush this bath bomb smells like uplifting lime, grapefruit oil and cognac oil. When I think of cognac I think of the drink my grandfather drinks and I don’t like the smell of that. But luckily for me that’s not what this bath bomb smells like.
If I had to describe the scent of The World’s Smallest Disco in my own words I’d describe it as a typical Lush scent. To me it wasn’t particularly warm or zesty or anything like that. I really enjoyed the scent, but it’s not one that really stood out to me in a way I think it’s super unique and memorable. I don’t mean that in a bad way at all, but it’s just what it is.
So let’s move on to the tub pics. The thing we’ve probably all been waiting for. I know I do. I was super excited to finally pop this bath bomb into my tub and I was expecting a lot of it to be honest. I mean, a disco in a tub, I’m in. So when I dropped the bath bomb in it immediately began fizzing. The black spreaded through the tub and so did the colours that are on this bath bomb. They slowly but surely get loose from the black and float through the tub. The pink floated to one side of my tub while on the other side the other colours were doing its magic. In the end it looked pretty darn amazing.
After a while of sitting in the tub the milky areas and the colours faded away and I was left with a black bath. It’s one of the first times I’ve bathed in such black water and I can tell you it’s very interesting. It’s just so mesmerising and stunning.
One thing I do want to warn you about is the fact that this bath bomb does stain your tub a little bit. Most of it washed away pretty easily, but there was definitely some staining going on around the sides of the tub. Like most tubs, our tub is white so it will be pretty obvious. It took some scrubbing to get it all off.
Despite the staining, I’m totally in love with the World’s Smallest Disco Bath Bomb from Lush. It’s not my number one favourite, but I definitely did love bathing with it. I love the bath art it creates, it looks super pretty and I love the black water it leaves you with. The scent isn’t particularly special, but it’s definitely a good scent to bathe in. Yup, I like this!
With that being said I think it’s time to end today’s review. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of The World’s Smallest Disco. Would you get it?
