Even though my love for the Lush Snow Fairy scent is as big as it can possibly get, I have never reviewed my beloved Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel. Obviously it’s not a new product within the Lush community, but that doesn’t make it less amazing. Because I’m such a big fan of it I felt like it still deserved to be reviewed on my blog sooner or later. And today is the day I’m finally going to do that. So if you’re interested in finding out more about the Lush Snowfairy Shower Gel, make sure you continue reading this post!
Let’s start off by talking about the packaging, shall we? The Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel comes in one of the typical bottles. Instead of the regular black and white label, this one has a bright pink label. This matches the whole theme and scent of the shower gel really well in my opinion. I mean, it’s just a colour, but to me it definitely adds something to the whole look. I remember that a couple of years ago the packaging of the Snow Fairy shower gel also had some kind of decoration going on on it. These days it doesn’t. I do think that’s sad, because I liked the way that looked but okay. It’s okay.
The Snow Fairy shower gel from Lush is a big favourite of lots of us. On the other hand it’s also hated by many. But let’s focus on the positive. Lush is obviously aware that the Snow Fairy scent is such a big hit and therefore they don’t just sell normal sized bottles of it, it also comes in bigger sizes. If you’re not sure yet about the scent you can go for a 100g bottle. If you’re sure about it you can go for the standard 250g size. But if you’re in love with it, Lush has both a 500g and a 1kg bottle. I think that’s super cool. However, I think that the 500g and 1kg bottles are way too large to store properly, therefore I bought two 250g bottles instead.
Price wise the shower gels from Lush aren’t the cheapest. Especially not if you compare the prices to drugstore shower gels or maybe even the Yves Rocher shower gels, but well. It’s Lush. And if you buy it in the UK I think the prices are okay-ish.

So let’s see what Lush has to say about this magical smelling liquid:
You snow whats up when this shower gel lands on the shelves! A foam-fest of bubblegum sweetens up your shower. It’ll take but one wave of the wand to enchant your bathroom; we’re fairy certain you’ll emerge feeling magical. Don’t let winter take its troll; lather up and lavish as Snow Fairy’s comforting, sweet fragrance envelops you in a cloak of candied mystique.”
The main theme in this little paragraph is definitely ‘bubblegum sweet’ and that’s exactly what this shower gel is. I think that most of you guys are already familiar with the Snow Fairy scent from Lush -whether that’s in a positive way or not- but for those of you who aren’t familiar with it yet I’ll describe the scent in my own words. This shower gel is definitely not one of them super natural smelling shower gels. It’s super, super, super sweet. I have never eaten bubblegum before in my life, but bubblegum is a word that comes to my mind when I think of this scent. It definitely does.
But aside from bubblegum and everything sweet, there’s also a hint of cherry in this scent. Or at least that’s what I smell in it. It’s not strawberry sweet and that’s what makes this scent so unique in my eyes. It’s not the typical scent you think of when you think of some sweet-smelling shower gel. I really do appreciate that about it.
What I love about Snow Fairy is that it’s definitely a nice and strong scent. Not headache strong, but good strong. You can smell it, it does kind of linger and it’s amazing. But aside from smelling nice, it’s also just a really proper shower gel in my eyes. It does everything you want a shower gel to do. It makes me feel nice and clean, it doesn’t make my skin feel stripped and it leaves me smelling good. What more can a person want?!
I personally don’t struggle with very dry skin or things like that, so I can’t really tell you what it’s like if you do. But on my skin this shower gel feels nice. It doesn’t strip my skin or make me feel dry. It’s also not the most moisturising shower gel in the whole entire world, but it’s good. It feels soft and smooth when I massage it all over my body. Even though there is quite a bit of perfume in this shower gel I don’t feel like my skin reacts to that in any way possible. Normally super perfumed shower gels do tend to make your skin feel a bit funny, but I haven’t had that with this shower gel. But on the other hand, if you’re really sensitive to perfume I do think it’s best if you stay away from this shower gel.
Long story short I think that the Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel is the most amazing thing ever created. I love the scent a whole lot and I’m always a fan of shower gels in my favourite scents. I love using this all year long, but it does feel extra special around the holiday season. If you do like sweet scents but you’re done with the strawberry sweet, make sure you try this once. You definitely won’t regret it. I promise you!
And that brings us to the end of this post. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know where you are on the Snow Fairy spectrum. Do you love it or hate it?
Ik hou écht niet van zulke zoete geurtjes. Gelukkig hebben ze hem dit jaar een klein beetje aangepast. Ik ga niet zeggen dat ik hem nu wél lekker vind, maar ik verdraag hem. It’s something!
