Lush Christmas 2019 Snow Fairy Bath Bomb

27/10/2019

To me, one of the most exciting new products in the new Lush Christmas collection is the Snow Fairy Bath Bomb. Those who know me, know that I love the Snow Fairy scent from Lush a lot. Last year they did have a Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb which I liked. But I would be lying if I say I didn’t wish for a normal Snow Fairy Bath Bomb this year. Luckily for me Lush heard my prayers and they came out with a regular Snow Fairy Bath Bomb. It looks absolutely stunning and I was ready to use it. I bought three of them and it ended up being the first new Christmas bath bomb I used this year. If you want to read more about my experience with it, make sure you keep on reading this post!

So let’s take a look at this exciting Snow Fairy Bath Bomb. The Snow Fairy bath bomb looks exactly like you’d expect it too. Lot’s of pink and some pretty snow stars on both sides. The Snow Fairy bath bomb looks different on both sides. On one side it’s pink and has a white/blueish snowflake on it. On the other side it’s white with a blue snowflake on it. The snowflake is very detailed and pretty and I totally love the look of this bath bomb.

The size of the bath bomb is pretty normal. It’s not the biggest bath bomb in the world, but it’s not small. It has about the standard size. It’s also a slow fizzer, which is really exciting to me.

The price on this bath bomb is pretty okay. I do think that €6,50 is like on the edge of becoming a bit expensive, but it’s still okay. It’s handmade and it’s Lush so I’ll accept it. I have actually already bought three of them so I don’t even think I’m in the position to say complain about it. Obviously I’m okay enough with it to buy multiple ones. But I can see that if you don’t have that much to spend on bath products that this is expensive.

Lush Christmas 2019 Snow Fairy Bath Bomb – €6,50/£4,95

In last years’ Christmas collection we did have a Snow Fairy scented bath bomb, but it was a jelly bomb. I really liked that one, but I do still prefer normal bath bombs. I just think they are a bit nicer. Anyway, let’s see what Lush has to say about their Snow Fairy Bath Bomb:

Each year, after a period of hibernation, the Snow Fairy emerges. Unfurling delicate silver wings, they shimmer with the excitement of a new festive season and herald the frosts of winter, bringing with them the magic of Christmas. With rosy pink cheeks and bright eyes, they arrive dressed in their newest gown fit for a yuletide ball. Adorned with a duo of glistening snowflakes, they will drift around in your bath water, releasing swathes of rippling lustre into bubblegum pink waters as they dance their fairytale waltz.”

Because this bath bomb is Snow Fairy scented I feel like Lush didn’t spend that much time on describing what it smells like. So let me do that for you. If I had to describe the Snow Fairy scent I’d say that it’s extremely sweet, candy-like sweet. But it also has some type of cherry scent to it. This cherry is what makes it sound more interesting than just another bubblegum sweet scent.

I’m so sorry about this picture. I used this bath bomb in my boyfriends’ tub and it was pretty late at night so the lighting was terrible. The pictures all ended up looking a bit orange, while in real life the water was more of a super bright pink rather than orange. But alright, we just have to deal with it for now.

Like I said the Snow Fairy Bath Bomb is a slow fizzer. It takes a while for it to completely dissolve. When you throw it into the tub the room starts to fill with this super sweet scent and the bath bomb starts to burst all shades of pink everywhere. Because of the blue and white in the bath bomb there’s also some of that floating around. But in the end the bath water will have a bright pink colour. At first that will be decorated with some white, milky swirls. But after a while those will disappear and just the pink will be left.

What I like about this bath bomb is that it’s also very sparkly. So the water isn’t just plain pink, it’s also super glittery. The glitters will create this magical, fairytale look. I personally love that. But if you don’t like glittery bath bombs, I highly suggest you to stay clear from this bath bomb.

All in all I’m really happy with this years’ edition on the Snow Fairy Bath Bomb. I like that it’s just a normal bath bomb rather than a jelly bomb. I absolutely love the super sweet Snow Fairy scent and I think that this bath bomb looks just mesmerising in the tub. I love the whole process is goes through and I love how super sparkly it is. This is just a big stunner. If you love the smell of Snow Fairy, you’ll definitely love this. Go check it out!

And that brings us to the end of today’s review. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of the Snow Fairy scent. Do you love it or hate it?

Ik hou echt niet van de geur van Snow Fairy, maar toch ben ik ontzettend benieuwd naar deze! Tegen de roze versie van Perle de Sel (dat vertelde een medewerkster bij Lush Kalverstraat) zeg ik geen nee!
