The Lush Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb is definitely not a new one. It’s actually one I already knew from last years’ Christmas collection. And guess what: it was a big favourite as well. Last year I didn’t get to review it so I’m super excited it came back and I can now talk to you guys about it. So, long story short I bought another Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb from Lush, took a bath with it and now I’m here with the review. If you’re interested in finding out more about this stunning bath bomb, make sure you continue reading this post!
If you didn’t notice it already, the Lush Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb looks absolutely stunning. It’s a bright blue bath bomb with golden stars all over it. This colour combination is super pretty in my opinion and I’m really excited for the look this will create in my tub.
In terms of size the Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb is really decent. It’s the ‘normal’ bath bomb size. Even though I do think size doesn’t really matter, I like that it’s big and you got something to hold on to.
Another fun fact about the Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb is that it’s actually a bath bomb and a bath melt in one. The golden stars that are on here are actually made from bath melt material. So when you pop this bath bomb into your tub the blue part will fizz like normal and the golden stars will float throughout your tub and slowly melt away into the water.
Lush Christmas 2019 Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb – €6,50/£4,95
The Lush Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb is probably one of my favourites bath bombs so far. It’s big, it’s pretty and lord oh lord it smells absolutely amazing. The Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb actually carries the famous Honey I Washed The Kids (HIWTK) scent from Lush. A scent loved by many of us. Including me. Like the name already suggests, HIWTK is a honey scent. It’s sweet but not too sweet. It’s also quite warm. It’s just really, really nice. Trust me.
Like always, let’s take a look at what Lush has to say about their Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb:
No need to wish on a star, fizzes of honey-scented stardust grant all your heart’s desires. Fair Trade organic cocoa butter stars melt in the water, moisturising the skin while uplifting bergamot oil sends your mood soaring above the clouds. Fizz this cobalt bath bomb in a hot bath and bathe amongst the galaxy, brightening moods and pampering skin in a cosmos of your own making. The stars are aligning with almond oil and creamed coconut to soothe and hydrate. A journey to the centre of the universe is one stellar bath away.”
To me this description sounds amazing. It makes this bath bomb sound even more amazing than it already is and I love how Lush did that. I love it.
Okay so let’s get the tub pictures going! I’m so sorry I took these with my Iphone because I’m just too darn lazy to get my entire camera set-up ready for this kind of thing. I’m actually that lazy that I just don’t use bath bombs because I know I have to get that set-up ready. I know. It’s bad. But now that I have a new Iphone (the Iphone XR) I feel like it’s okay. The quality of the camera is pretty decent.
Anyway, look at how stunning this bath bomb looks. The blue, the stars everywhere. It’s just magical. I really loved just looking at this bath bomb dissolve. It’s such a magical process. At first the blue stars to go everywhere. And until the very last moments the golden stars stay attached to the bath bomb. When these start to come loose and float through the bath is when the magic really starts to happen.
Because the stars are bath oil material, they dissolve very slowly. Slowly but surely the gold starts to go round the tub and the water starts to become more and more moisturising. I just didn’t realise how moisturising they were until I got out of the bath. My skin felt so soft and smooth. I almost didn’t need to use any sort of body lotion anymore. That’s impressive you guys!
All in all I really, really love the Lush Christmas Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb. I’m really glad it returned and I already picked up two more of them. I just think this is one of the most stunning products Lush has to offer. It’s the best of both worlds since it’s a bath oil and a bath bomb in one. And the colour combo is amazing. I’m a real big fan of Shoot For The Stars and I highly recommend getting it!
With that being said I’m ending today’s post. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know which bath bombs you love the most from the new Christmas collection!
