The Lush Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb is definitely not a new bath bomb in this years Christmas range. It’s a product we already know from last year. However, somehow I didn’t really notice it last year and I didn’t end up buying it. And once I saw what it looked like in the tub I instantly regretted that move. Therefore I felt like I had to make up for that this year so I bought two of them. Recently I took a bath with one of them and today I’m going to tell you guys everything about my experience with it. So if you’re interested in finding out whether or not this bath bomb is as amazing as it looks, make sure you continue reading this post!
Let’s take a look at this stunning and bright coloured bath bomb. The Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb has a pink base. On top it has a part white and around the entire bath bomb are differently coloured circles. There’s yellow, orange, blue, green, you name it. It’s all in there. These circles make this bath bomb even more colourful and bright. Bright colour is definitely not the first thing I think of when I think of Christmas, but still I do think it’s a very festive bath bomb.
On top of the Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb is a little thing that looks like a leaf. On my bath bomb this thing didn’t really show because it was covered with the white bath bomb powder. But if you look at the official pictures of this bath bomb you’ll see that it’s there. I did see a glimpse of it so I’m sure my bath bomb has it in it too.
Price wise I think this bath bomb is okay. It’s a normal sized bath bomb, it’s pretty big. And it’s also pretty elaborate. I mean, this wasn’t just get one colour, press it and go. It has so many colours, it has the little circles. Everything is put together by hand and I can see how much work that takes. So keeping that in mind I think this bath bomb is very decently priced.
Lush Christmas 2019 Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb – €6,50/£4,95
Luxury Lush Pud isn’t a new bath bomb to the Lush community, but it is to me. Somehow I just didn’t really discover it last year. Because it’s new to me I had absolutely no idea what to expect from it. So let’s go ahead and read what Lush has to say about it on their website:
Sure to become your currant obsession, we know you’ll go dotty for this sweet creation. Perfectly pink with colourful spots, reach for this when you’re in need of a playful soak with plenty of festive cheer! Watch as colours unfurl in the water and release the sweet, reassuring scents of bright bergamot oil and fruity blackcurrant absolute. This is one Christmas pud you just won’t be able to resist!”
From this piece of text I take away that Luxury Lush Pud is going to smell fruity and fresh. The pink colour makes it sound like this is going to be a pretty sweet smelling bath bomb as well. But in the end I was surprised to find out that it didn’t. In my opinion the Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb smells very minty. I smelled a lot of peppermint. Maybe mixed with some fruity ingredients, I’m sure of that, but the main note was pretty minty to me. I do think that this is what makes it more of a Christmas scent, but it’s not what I expected after reading the piece of text above.
To me personally peppermint scents in my tub aren’t the very best. I mean I don’t hate them. In the case of the Candy Cane Bubble Bar I actually really like it. But somehow I don’t love it in this case. I mean, I didn’t hate the scent at all, but I didn’t love it either. It was okay-ish.
Having said that let’s take a look at what magic the Luxury Lush Pud created in my tub. Because I can say a lot about the fact that I don’t love the scent, but the way this bath bomb looked in my tub was absolutely mesmerising. I think that the Luxury Lush Pud is by far one of the prettiest bath bombs I’ve used to far. I really, honestly think that.
I love how pink it is. I love the spreading of pink throughout my tub. And what made it more unique is the way the coloured circles acted. They were bursting out colour in every direction. And after a while of fizzing, when the bath bomb was becoming smaller and smaller, the coloured circles got loose of the bath bomb and floated throughout the tub by themselves. It was an absolute stunning process to look like. I’m really, really impressed by that. Even though I’m not in love with the scent of this bath bomb, I do love the way it looks and that makes it totally worth it again.
One thing I do want to mention is that you really do not want to hold this bath bomb in your hand while it’s fizzing. My fingers turned bright pink. This does come off, don’t worry, but dang this little ball is pigmented. I have had the same experience with the new Snow Fairy Bath Bomb. That one even stained my foot for two days. This one isn’t as extreme as that, but just be careful okay?
All in all I think that the Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb from Lush is absolutely phenomenal. I am not crazy about the scent, I think it’s okay, but the way this bath bomb looks totally makes up for it. I’m already a sucker for pink. That in combination with all of the colours that are in this bath bomb creates straight magic. I was mesmerised the whole entire time this thing was fizzing and I loved it. I’m definitely going to try and stock up on it when the Lush sale comes around!
With that being said I’m ending today’s post. Thank you guys so much for reading it and be sure to let me know which bath bomb is your favourite from this years’ Christmas collection!
Ik vind dit zo’n beauty! Het is dat ik nu nog zo veel op voorraad heb, maar als hij er in de Sale nog is, neem ik er eentje mee!
