Loving Rituals Tea: Hammam Mint & Express Your Soul Tea

17/01/2019

You know those times when you walk into a Rituals store and they hand you a little sample cup of tea? It always tastes so amazing and it always makes me think I should get a box of their tea. But for the longest time I didn’t really do it. Until a while ago, when I was ordering some stuff from Rituals and I needed something for free shipping. That’s when I added the box of tea to my basket. I started drinking it and quickly I found out I liked it. I really did. So next thing I know, I’m ordering another box of tea from Rituals. I know it’s a little strange to write a review on tea, especially since this is a beauty blog, but I am so mesmerised by this tea that I just have to tell you guys about it. So, without further ado, today I’m going to talk to you guys about Rituals tea. Make sure you continue reading!

Okay, let’s start off with the first box I ordered. Rituals does have quite a wide variety of tea in their collection and this one happens to be Limited Edition. It’s from their Express Your Soul range. It was from a couple of summers ago, but it still pops up in their outlet every now and again. Anyway, this tea looks like it’s going to be nice and summery, but a citrussy flavour. I have to say that normally I’m not a citrus kinda gal, so this isn’t really something for me. Why did I order it you might ask, well, because I still wanted to give it a taste. And dear lord I’m glad I gave it a chance, because this stuff is incredible!

The Express Your Soul Tea isn’t just a lemon, or verbena, tasting tea. It also has mint in it. Recently I discovered the beauty of mint tastes in your tea and I love it. It adds a really fresh scent to the whole. It makes your mouth feel nice and fresh and I like that. Because of the verbena it does still have a bit of a fruity hint to it and it makes the mint not too overpowering. I do think this is actually a very great taste, even for those who don’t like the taste of either verbena or mint. The combination creates a really tasty balance which I love.

However, my boyfriend didn’t like it. He said that it smelled like a showergel and I can’t say that’s not true. I mean, I also have a shower oil and a body creme from this range so it might make you think of that. However, if you push that memory aside, I think this is great. I’m really impressed by it.

The thing I like the most about this tea isn’t actually the taste. I’m really intrigued by the quality of this tea. A box of Rituals tea comes with 20 bags. Normally this would mean 20 cups of tea, but these bags are so strong you can make up to 3 to 4 cups of tea with one bag. Now I have to say I like my tea pretty weak, so if you do like it a bit stronger I don’t know if it will last that long. But well, you’ll find out yourself one day.

I feel like this tea, compared to regular tea from the supermarket, is so much better. Of course you pay a little more for a box of Rituals tea, but it gets you something. I feel like the flavours are way more rich. You really taste the ingredients that are in there. In a way it reminds me of these infused teas from Pickwick but then with nice tastes. I also think that these Rituals teas are way less bitter than some normal teas can be. This makes it way lighter in the mouth and doesn’t give as much of an aftertaste or a dry mouth as you might get from regular tea.

So in terms of getting your moneys’ worth, I do think it’s worth it to get a box of Rituals tea. It’s super tasty and it’s really nice quality tea. I’m so impressed!

So, after falling in love with the Express Your Soul Tea, I needed to get myself more. And by the way, these boxes of tea happen to be great order fillers. Sometimes you need like a couple of bucks more in order to qualify for free shipping and these teas give you that. Anyway, this taste is called Hammam Mint. Like I said I recently fell in love with the taste of mint in tea, so it sounded very appealing to me. And I really liked the look of the box. I mean it’s just super cute. Look at it! Sadly they did change the packagings. Their teas now come in these tins and come with 25 bags of tea instead of 20, but well, nothing we can do about that. It’s still the same thing.

The thing I love about this tea is that it’s so nice feeling in your mouth. It isn’t over the top minty, but it does have a nice mint taste. I also think that it’s refreshing. It’s a tea I love to drink in the morning to combat my morning breath. Or like, a tea I drink after a meal to minimise the scent of the meal in my mouth. Aside from that function I also think it just tastes really nice. It has some sort of herbal tint to it, which makes it more interesting. I think it’s a really unique flavour and definitely one of my favourites right now!

Rituals Hammam Mint Tea 25 bags Tin – €6,50

All in all I’m just really impressed by these Rituals teas. I love that I have finally discovered them and I will for sure get more of their teas in the future. They are on sale quite regularly which makes them even more affordable. But even if they aren’t, they are so worth it for me. The taste is so nice and pure and it makes such a big difference compared to supermarket tea. You should really give it a try for yourself!

With that being said I think it’s time to end today’s post. Thank you so much for reading about my love for Rituals tea and be sure to let me know if you have ever tasted some tea from Rituals!

Oh, de Hammam Mint heb ik een tijdje terug meteen gekocht toen ik een proevertje aangeboden kreeg. Erg lekker en inderdaad niet overdreven minty.
