About five million ages ago I bought myself a new L’Oreal nail polish. I don’t know why I did it because I didn’t really love the colour at the time, but for some reason I did. Because I didn’t love the colour I put off swatching it for a very long time, but now that I finally did it, I kinda changed my mind about this polish. If you’re interested in finding out more about this polish, make sure you keep on reading!
The L’Oreal Color Riche nail polishes come in these small glass bottles with the gold cap. I really like the look of it. I like that it’s small because it doesn’t take in any space and I like the use of colours, because it looks very classy and totally L’Oreal proof.
The colour I bought is called 305 Dating Coral, just like my favourite L’Oreal lipstick is called. The polish is, like the name already suggests, coral and it has a tad bit of shimmer to it. Normally I’m not that into shimmer, which is why I didn’t really like it at first. But once applied, you can hardly tell that there is any short of shimmer in there.
On this swatch I’m wearing one coat of nail polish. It does look quite good, but in real life it wasn’t even close to being opaque enough for me. It isn’t bad, and if wearing only one coat is what you prefer you can definitely do so, but for me that wasn’t it.
This is what it looks like with two coats, way better in my opinion. The only side note is that if you have long nails, the white part will show a little bit. To completely cover that up you do have to add one more layer. However, if you don’t have very long nails, two coats are definitely enough.
When it comes to staying power I’m not disappointed. This isn’t the most long lasting nail polish I have ever tried, but even without a top- and base coat, this polish will last for about 2 to 3 days. That may not sound very impressive, but for someone with very thin and fragile nails, it kind of is.
Overall I’m not disappointed by this nail polish. Okay, it isn’t my favourite colour in the world, but it’s not ugly at all and quality wise it’s great too. I wouldn’t repurchase this exact colour, but I definitely would buy another one of these polishes in a different colour.
The L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis is available at the drugstore for €5,79.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you like the L’Oreal Color Riche nail polishes!
XOXO, Nicole.
