Last week (or maybe the week before that, I’m not sure) I saw these new L’Oreal products in one of Fleur de Force her videos. She said they were perfect for people with greasy roots and dry ends and when I heard that I was sold. That same week I bought the shampoo and conditioner and today’s it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out more about these two products, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with the Extraordinary Clay Refreshing Shampoo. The shampoo comes in a mint coloured packaging. The packaging has some pink and blue details and contains 250 ml of product. I do really like the look of the packaging. It looks clean and simple and I like the colour scheme.
One of the reasons I was so attracted to this shampoo (aside from the fact that it’s perfect for my hair type) is because it’s silicone free. Because silicones make my hair really greasy I like to avoid using them. Until the day of today there still aren’t that many silicone free shampoo’s, so when I saw this one was silicone free I just had to try it.
On the back of the bottle if gives you some more information about the product. It says that if you use this shampoo your hair will be light and fresh for 72 hours. It’s supposed to intensely hydrate your ends and give your hair a healthy glow.
Usually I would say: intense hydration and no greasiness, I don’t believe it. But because I’ve heard such good stories about this shampoo I ended up having quite high hopes.
Luckily for me this shampoo didn’t let me down at all. If anything it impressed me. First of all, this shampoo smells so incredibly amazing. I really, really love the scent. It’s fresh, it’s clean and it makes you feel like you’ve been taken care of.
It also makes my hair really soft and shiny without making it greasy. It’s a whole new thing for me. This is the first time in years that my ends aren’t super dry while my roots aren’t super greasy. It’s a delight. I used to wash my hair everyday, but with this shampoo I can definitely skip a day, it’s impressive.
The conditioner comes in a similar bottle to the shampoo, but this one has the opening on the bottom instead of at the top. The rest is pretty much exactly the same and therefore I also really like the look of this packaging.
The conditioner claims the exact same thing as the shampoo does and it say’s the same thing about the product as the shampoo does. My favourite thing about this conditioner is that it’s, just like the shampoo, silicone free. This is one of the first silicone free conditioners you can find at the drugstore and that really impresses me.
The thing I like about this conditioner is that it does really intensely hydrate my ends without making them heavy or greasy. This is actually the first silicone free conditioner that is this hydrating and the first conditioner in general that is this hydrating without weighing down my hair.
Just like the shampoo this conditioner smells really nice and both products only require you to use a teeny tiny bit of products, so these two bottles will last you pretty much forever.
Overall I’m really impressed by this Extraordinary Clay range and I’m in love with it. I’m so glad I discovered it and I want to use nothing else anymore. The smell, the way it makes my hair feel and the shine it adds to my hair, it’s the best product ever. I highly, highly recommend giving it a try!
The L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay Shampoo and Conditioner cost €4,49 each.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know which shampoo and conditioner are your favourite!
XOXO, Nicole.
