Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while probably know I’m subscribed to the LF Beauty Box, the monthly beauty box subscription thingy from Lookfantastic.com. At this point I have received six boxes (out of the 12 I’ll receive) and I thought it might be a good moment to look back at the previous boxes and see what I actually ended up using (spoiler alert: not much!). If you’re interested in finding out how many of the 36 products I received I actually use, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with the first product. This is the Oskia Renaissance Mask. This came in the October box which was my second one. I didn’t know the brand yet but thanks to this product I do like it. I can’t say that I use this very often, but I do use it. It’s a really nice product and I’m definitely considering buying the full size of it!
The second product is probably my favourite product out of all the products I received inside the boxes. It’s the Monuskin Recovery Balm. At first I wasn’t too hyped about it, but after using it a couple of times I fell in love with it. This is one of the nicest moisturisers in the world. It’s soft, it’s hydrating and it makes my skin feel like new. I definitely want a full size of this!
Oskia Renaissance Mask €58,95 – Monuskin Recovery Balm €32,95
Next up is the L’Oreal Mythic Oil. When I saw that this came inside the November box I wasn’t too excited, but after giving it a good try I, again, fell in love with it. I just really like hair oils. I always use this before I straighten my hair and it makes my hair look and feel gorgeous. It’s the best!
Then we have a product from the January box, the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask. Most hair products that come inside this box I can’t use because they have silicones in them, but this one doesn’t. All it does is making my hair incredibly soft. And I mean incredibly soft. I really like the way my hair feels after using this and therefore I’m definitely considering buying the full size.
L’Oreal Mythic Oil €19,95 – Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair €35,95
Onto a product from the February box. This is the The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. At the time when I received it I was actually testing out a lot of products by this brand so I was really excited about it. This moisturiser is just really nice, it does its job perfectly and nothing more than that. I definitely think it’s a great product for a beauty box like this one.
Another product I also really enjoy from the Janaury box is the Pixi Clear Brow Tamer. It looks pretty dirty now because I’ve used it so often, but you guys, it’s just really nice! It’s a product everyone can use and that’s why I think it’s perfect to put in a beauty box.
The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA €7,45 – Pixi Clear Brow Tamer €14,45
The last product I actually ended up using is another one I do use, but not as frequently as for example the Monuskin Recovery Balm. This is the This Works Stress Check Breathe In roller ball. This is one of those products that help you fall asleep. Whenever I really struggle with falling asleep I put this on my wrists and behind my ears and I’ll sleep like a rose in seconds. It’s a great product, especially for those who struggle with falling asleep!
This Works Stress Check Breathe In – €19,45
As you can tell I ended up using only 7 products out of the 36 (!) I received over the past six months. It’s not that I haven’t tried the other ones or that I didn’t want to use them, but it just didn’t happen. However, the fact that I did discover these seven amazing products through this box and the opportunity to try even more does make it worth it, but if you’re not that into trying out new stuff it probably won’t be.
That was it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of monthly subscription boxes. Are they worth it or not?
XOXO, Nicole.
