For the longest time I used to be a huge fan of the Bourjois concealers. But after a while this love kind of faded. I didn’t really care for them anymore. Or well, I didn’t really feel the need to buy one and give it a proper try. Until I saw this one come around. This is the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer and somehow this looked really good to me. I don’t know if it’s because of the packaging, because of the name or what the cause is, but I was excited to give this concealer a go. So, I ended up buying it and here I am, ready to review this little guy. If you’re interested in finding out what I have to say about this concealer and whether or not I think it’s a budget hit1, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer comes in a really pretty, luxurious looking packaging. I have to say that I’m really impressed by the looks of it. It actually reminds me of the packaging of the old Dior Star concealer, but even a bit more classy because of the frosted glass and silver lid. The packaging is rather thick but it isn’t very long. It comes with a doe-foot applicator and is easy to work with. Something I immediately noticed about the packaging is that the stopper works really well, thanks to which you get exactly the right amount of product out of it when you pull out the wand. It’s exactly enough for both of my under eye areas. I have to say that I’m not someone who uses a lot of product underneath their eyes, so if you do it might not be enough for both eyes. But obviously that depends on your personal preference.
Anyway, the size of the concealer seems pretty reasonable by the looks of it. It comes with 7.8 ml of product and that seems about right. It’s hard to compare what is the average by looking in my own stash since there seems to be a lot of difference within the concealer category, but to me this is a pretty good amount. Since you don’t need that much of it per application I think the bottle will last you for quite some time.

Having discussed the packaging, let’s start talking about the shade range and the shade I ended up getting. And this is already where it starts to get icky. Somehow Bourjois isn’t really aware of the fact that there are lots of skin tones out there in the world and you can’t just get away with only making three shades. Yup, I said it, three shades. All of which aren’t very deep. There’s actually very little difference between the two. I don’t really understand why this is still happening even though all beautybloggers and Youtubers are speaking out about this. Make more shades please!
Anyway, the shade I bought is called 01 Ivory and this is the lightest shade available. Bourjois is known for their yellow toned shades but I have to say, this isn’t as bad as I expected. Yes, it does have a rather yellow undertone to it, but it’s not as yellow as the Healthy Mix products. For me the colour is quite an okay match and I do think that it’s light enough to really brighten the area for me. It’s not super, super pale so if you are a bit paler than I am, I’m not sure whether it will have the same effect on you or not and whether or not it will even match you at all.
Okay, having said that, let’s take a look at the claims. According to Bourjois their Radiance Reveal Concealer will reveal your radiant complexion. It’s supposed to conceal imperfections, dark circles and puffiness for a fresh and radiant look. It’s supposed to visibly smooth away wrinkles and fine lines and also hydrate the under eye area for up to 24 hours. They say that it is a musthave for all urbanites! Whatever that may mean.
In general I’m quite impressed by the actual results. I mean a product like that may promise a lot of things, but making them true is a whole different thing. I just think that this concealer does a great job at covering up my dark circles, I mean look at the difference! It really takes away the darkness and makes it look like my skin tone. It also does make my eye-area look a bit more smooth by smoothening those fine lines and it adds some sort of radiant glow to it. Not like a full on glow, but just a little tiny bit. I really didn’t expect that it would be this great and that the coverage would be this full.
The consistency of the concealer is really nice as well. It’s thin but it also has a bit of creaminess to it. A little bit of it goes a very long way, thanks to which you only need a little bit of product per application. It is really easy to blend and it looks very natural once blended it to the skin. Overall I do think that this is a very easy to work with and luxurious feeling concealer.
In terms of staying power I haven’t noticed anything bad or particularly amazing. It’s not one of those bullet proof products, but it also doesn’t fade quickly. I do feel like it actually hydrates my under eye area, but whether or not it actually does that for the full 24 hours they claim, I’m not completely sure!
All in all this Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer did surprise me a whole lot. I definitely think that this is a particularly good concealer and I love using it just as much as my more expensive ones, which is not something that happens a lot with me if I’m being completely honest. I just think that the texture feels really amazing and I love how well it covers up the darkness underneath my eyes. This is definitely a winner and I’ll definitely continue using it until it’s gone!
That’s it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it, and be sure to let me know what you think of this concealer and whether or not you think it’s a budget win!
