Like I showed you guys in last tuesday’s haul I bought myself a set of real nice body care goodies by L’Occitane. I smelled them a while back and I fell in love with it. Now, a few weeks later, I finally bought it. Today I’m going to review this set for you guys. If you’re interested in finding out more about these two products, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with the Body Lotion. The L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Shimmering Body Lotion comes in a really classy and pretty looking packaging. It’s clear, has a fancy looking label on it in pink and red with some white details and the bottle itself has a really pretty flower pattern going on. I really like the look of it.
The thing I like about the body lotion is that it has such a fancy and luxurious look and feel to it. I really wanted some kind of fancy product for those times I want to pamper myself a little more and this is the perfect product for that in my opinion.
Like the name already suggests this body lotion, as well as the shower gel, smells like Cherry Blossom. I personally don’t know what real cherry blossom smells like, but if it’s similar to the scent of this product, it’s pretty much amazing.
On the back of the bottle and on the L’Occitane website they give us a little more information about this product. They claim that this product has a very light formula that sinks into the skin quickly and leaves the skin moisturised, soft and with a little bit of shimmer.
In my opinion 99% of that is true. The only part I don’t think is true is the shimmer part. I really don’t see why they call this a shimmering body lotion because it really doesn’t have shimmer to it. I’m glad it doesn’t because I’m not a huge fan of looking like a disco ball all day, but it’s just weird that they do claim it to be shimmery.
But overall I do think it’s a nice body lotion. I like that it’s such a light product because it’s way quicker to work with, you need less product and because it just feels way lighter on the skin and I like that better, especially during this time of year.
The shower gel comes in the exact same packaging as the body lotion does, but this one seems clear because the shower gel is clear. I hope that made any sense. Again, I do really like the look of the packaging. It’s classy, it’s fancy and it looks special. I like it!
The scent of the shower gel is just like the body lotion very special and unique. You can smell that this isn’t a 1 Euro shower gel, that’s one sure thing. I like the scent. I like that it’s not an overly perfumed strong scent. It’s settle, it’s not overpowering. You do smell it but it’s not too much.
When it comes to the quality of the product I’m positively surprised. I’m a big fan of shower gels and therefore I have tried many, but this is by far one of the best. I do think that paying 15 Euro’s for a shower gel is a little much, but in my opinion it’s really worth it. The formula is really nice, it feels gentle on the skin. It’not drying. It smells good and it does give you that luxurious feeling.
Overall I’m a big fan of this shower gel. I like how it smells and I like that it’s not too extreme. I also really like the way that it feels on my skin and I love how it’s just not drying at all.
Well I think it’s clear that I’m a big fan. I know not everyone thinks it’s reasonable to spend this amount of money on a product you can easily get for way less, but if you do feel like buying a shower gel/body lotion for those days you really want to pamper yourself this is definitely a great option! I love it!
The L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Body Lotion costs €23,- and the Shower Gel €14,50.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know which shower gel and body lotion is your favourite!
