Last year I decided to subscribe to the Styletone box. The Styletone box is one of those monthly subscription boxes filled with a few beauty products. After three months I got bored with it and unsubscribed. Now, almost exactly a year later, I came across a beauty box by one of my favourite webshops Lookfantastic.com. I decided to get a subscription and today it’s time for the first unboxing. If you’re interested in finding out what is in this box, make sure you continue reading!
Well let’s start off with telling you what this month’s box is all about. The theme is the 20th birthday of Lookfantastic. This box is therefore filled with lots of amazing brands and exciting products. I already knew what was going to be in it when I ordered it because it was already out, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting! Let’s open it up!
By the way how pretty is this box. I know it’s a bit weird to get excited over a box but I love the way it looks and how thick and sturdy it is.Â
The first product in this box seemed a little dull but ended up being quite a nice product. It’s the Gatineau Collagene Expert Eye Pads. The reason why I thought it was dull is because I thought it was a little sample of a product like the ones you usually get when you buy perfume or something. When I found out this was an eye mask I got way more excited.
This eye mask is supposed to be soothing and aside from that it doesn’t give you much information about what it’s supposed to do on the packaging. I’m really excited to give them a try!
Price: £36 for 6 pairs, this is one pair so £6
Next up in this box is the Christophe Robin Shampooing Purifiant. I didn’t know this brand before but I do really like the looks of it. It looks fancy, natural and pretty. I immediately liked the fact that the shampoo was made for people with greasy roots and dry ends (which is what I have) and that it’s free of silicones, SLS and paraben.
Again I’m really excited to give this product a try and I will definitely write a review about it so I can tell you guys whether it’s worth getting or not!
Price: £28 for 250 ml, this is 75 ml so £8,40.
The next product in this month’s box is the Argan Liquid Gold Multi-Tone BB Cream. Right of the bat I wasn’t very excited about it. I knew it was a very expensive product and that it would be a great product, but when you get foundation-like products in boxes like these they are never the right shade for me.
I’ve already given it a try and even though it says multi-tone it’s definitely way too dark for me. It does smell incredibly nice and it feels really good on the skin, so it’s definitely a winner when it comes to that. Too bad it isn’t my shade!
Price: £70 for 30 ml, this is 10 ml so £23,30.
The last non-makeup product in this box is the Bliss Lemon+Sage Body Butter. This one has an adorable packaging and it just looks like a product I’d love. I’m normally not that big of a fan of the scent of lemon or any other citrus fruit, but I have to say that I don’t hate it. I actually think it’s quite a nice scent.
I’m definitely going to give this product a good try and I will get back to you about how I ended up liking it. So stay tuned for that!
Price: £23 for 100 ml, this is 30 so £6,90.
The first makeup product in this month’s box is the Lord & Berry Strobing Pencil in the shade #1153. I have never tried anything by the brand Lord & Berry but I’ve always wanted to. I absolutely love the look of this pencil. It seems perfect for highlighting the inner corners and the cupids bow for example.
Because this product is slightly different than the product they apparently promised subscribers they would get I got a 20% off coupon for all Lord & Berry products. How nice!
Price: £10 for full size (this is a different product than they said would be in it which is the Lord & Berry Lumiziner stick so I can’t be certain about the price of it).Â
The last product in this box is the most exciting product EVER. I’m so excited about it. It’s the BareMinerals Moxie lipstick in the shade Get Ready. First off all I absolutely love the shade of this lipstick. It’s just absolutely stunning. It’s perfect for autumn and winter and it’s definitely a colour I’d wear.
I really love that this box comes with brands I’m actually excited about. I’ve never tried BareMinerals but I know it’s an amazing brand and I’ve always wanted to try it. I can’t wait to try this product out!
Price: £17 for 3.5 grams, this is 1.5 grams so £7,30.
Total worth: £61,90/€71,40!
Overall I’m really happy with this box. I love it so much better than the Styletone box and it came with so many amazing and interesting products. I know that all products are sample sizes and some of you might consider that as a bad thing, but I personally prefer a beauty box filled with high-end, cool and amazing brands but only samples than a box with full size products by brands I don’t know and don’t care about. But that’s just my personal preference.
The LF Beauty Box is available at Lookfantastic.com for €13,95 per month.
And that is it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know what you think of my first LF Beauty Box!
