Today I’ll be reviewing the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo moisturizer. I’ve been using this for about two to three years now. They recommended it to me at the pharmacy, and I’ve used it ever since. In the mean time I have tried some other moisturizers, but I can’t help getting back to this one. If you’re interested in knowing more about this product, keep on reading!
The moisturizer comes in a long slim tube, which contains 40 ml of product. The tube is white and has a blue square (logo) on top of it. The tube looks really clinical. Like it’s a moisturizer you got from your dermatologist. I like that look. I think it gives the product a professional look, and it makes me believe their promises more.
This moisturizer is made for imperfection-prone skin and it’s corrective and unclogging. Even though I don’t really have imperfaction-prone skin, the lady at the pharmacy still recommended it to me because I do have oily skin. She told me that this moisturizer has helped her son (who does have a lot of spots according to her) a lot with getting rid of spots. According to her it would also work really well for my skintype.
The product comes out of this little tube thingy on the bottom of the tube. You only need a really small amount of it. The moisturizer has a gel like texture. It’s really easy to blend into the skin and it sinks in quite quickly without leaving a oily layer on your skin.
The moisturizer doesn’t mattify as much as I would have wanted it too, but it doesn’t make me really oily as well. It gives me just a nice healthy glow. This moisturizer isn’t enough to keep my skin completely oil free for the entire day, but that’s a lot to ask from a moisturizer. What it does do is moisturize my skin really well. Also the smell of it is a real plus.
All together I think that this moisturizer is great for people suffering from acne-prone or just oily skin. It doesn’t dry out your skin, but it does help with any imperfections you might have. The moisturizer costs €15,38 and is available at pharmacies and online.
