In yesterday’s post I told you everything about my trip to Krakow. I also let you guys know that I did get quite a lot of shopping done. I bought lots of makeup (as expected) but I also bought a surprisingly big amount of clothing which is pretty unusual for me. Because showing both in today’s post is a bit too much, I decided to split this haul into two parts. Today is the beauty & everything else part. If you’re interested in finding out what I bought in Krakow, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with some non-beauty purchases. First of all I bought something I’ve been wanting for the longest time. I’ve always wanted to have a Starbucks mug. I don’t know why but I just really wanted one. I never really bought one because I felt like they were pretty expensive and not worth the money, but now I finally decided to just get one. I decided to buy the biggest one because I love big ass mugs and I’m really glad I did.
I also bought one of their re-usable cups. These look like their regular mugs but are made out of plastic instead of paper so you can use them again and again. It was very inexpensive and I liked the look of it, so that’s basically why I got it.
The second and last non-beauty item I got are these three adorable little notebooks. I found them while I was waiting for my friend at TK Maxx and I fell in love. I’ve been looking for cute little booklets like these for quite a while now and there they were. It came in a set of three including these three and they were about 4 Euro’s. I really, really like them!
Onto the first beauty related products. To my surprise the Super-Pharm sold Bioderma. The last time I bought Bioderma was about 3 years ago and I started running low on it a while ago. Even though I could only bring a limited amount of weight back home because I went there by plane I decided to buy two 250 ml bottles and two smaller bottles with 100 ml.
These bottles of Bioderma are by far one of my favourite purchases of this trip because it’s just my favourite skin care product on earth and I’m really glad I found them there.
One of the reasons I wanted to go to Poland is because they have Lady Speed Sticks in their drugstore and they sell them for one third of the price in the Netherlands. My stash of LSS was also getting smaller and smaller so I did stock up on them big time. I got 2 of the spray deodorants, 3 of the rollers and a bunch of the sticks. I bought pretty much every scent available and a few for my mother.
In total I bought about twenty of them. That seems like an excessive amount, which it is, but I did really want them and now I have enough to get me through the upcoming years.
Next up I bought some Maybelline goodies. I bought a backup of my favourite eyebrow pencil; the Maybelline Brow Satin, to keep at my boyfriends place and another one of the Colour Tattoo’s in On and On Bronze for the same reason.
I also got the Maybelline Super Stay 24H foundation because I’ve been wanting it for the past 7 years. It looks really good to me and the colour seems to be quite an accurate match to my skin tone which is quite surprising actually. I haven’t giving it a try yet but I’m looking forward to doing so.
Next up are my favourite purchases from Sephora. It was so nice to finally go there after three years of not going to Sephora. The first Sephora I went to wasn’t too big but they did have some amazing items. I bought quite a lot of things and I’m really excited to share them with you. One of my first purchases and one of my favourites is the Benefit Soft, Natural Brows Kit. I’ve been eying it ever since it launched and I’m so glad I finally got it. It comes with the brow pencil, the brow gel and a highlighter pencil.
Another Benefit product I bought is this Dandelion lipgloss. Normally I don’t really buy lipglosses but because it was on sale and it looked really pretty so I decided to go for it anyways. I’ve already worn it and it looks really pretty on the lips and it isn’t as sticky and annoying on the lips as other lipglosses are. I’m really glad I decided to buy it.
I also bought a few travel sized makeup products. First of all I got the Benefit Hoola Bronzer in a travel size version. As well as the Smashbox Photofinish Primer. I’ve been wanting to try out these products for quite a while now and now I finally got the chance to do so.
At the travel size section I also found some Origins masks in a small little cup. I bought one of those intense night masks and one regular one for during the day. I’m very excited to give them a try!
Next up are two Too Faced products. First of all I bought the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. This was one of the most popular products ever when it comes to priming your lids (but in general too) when I started getting into makeup and watching beauty videos on Youtube and therefore it has been on my wishlist for ages. When I saw it at Sephora it was one of the first things that I grabbed. Even though I used to think that you shouldn’t spend that much money on just and eyeshadow primer, I felt like it was worth it and I’m really excited to give it a try.
Another Too Faced product I had on my wishlist is their Better Than Sex mascara. Everyone is raving about it and it made me really curious. Because the wand isn’t like the mascara wands I usually love I decided to buy a mini size rather than a full size version and I’m really excited to see how I’ll end up liking it!
I also bought quite a few Sephora brand makeup products. First of all I bought the Sephora Highlight Low Light Face Contour Duo which basically is a stick with a contour and a highlight shade to contour your face. I don’t have any cream contouring products and since it’s such a popular thing nowadays I really wanted to give it a try.
I also bought this very, very light concealer by Sephora. I always struggle finding a concealer that is light enough to highlight with underneath my eyes so when I saw this there was no doubt. This is one of the lightest concealers I’ve ever seen. I even thought it might be a bit too light. But because it’s something I’ve always wanted I ended up getting it anyway and so far I really like it!
Then we have the Sephora Waterproof Retractable Brow Pencil. This seemed like a great budget friendly brow pencil to me since it’s so thin and since it comes in so many different shades. I also like the fact that it’s (supposed to be) waterproof and I think it’s a great product to wear on rainy days when I have to cycle to school.
Aside from those products I also got two Sephora lip products. The first product I got is a liquid lipstick. I usually don’t really like the way they feel on my lips but because my friend was so excited about them and because the colour is absolutely stunning I decided to give it a try anyway.
The other lip product I got is one of Sephora’s lipsticks. I bought it because there was a 3 for 2 sale going on and I already had 2 products by the Sephora brand in my basket. It’s a very pretty peachy/corally shade and I really like the way it looks and feels on the lips!
One of my most favourite purchases from Sephora has to be this Marc Jacobs Shameless blush. My friend actually saw it at the sale department and when I saw it I just knew I had to buy it. From the packaging to the colour, this is one of the most gorgeous blushes I’ve ever seen. I’m really excited to write a review about this product!
Next up is a red Beautyblender. Like most of you guys know, I love the Beautyblender. I bought mine the 31st of December 2015 and therefore I felt like it was time for me to get a new one. You’re supposed to replace it after 3 months so I’m actually a bit late but that doesn’t really matter for now.
Next up are two Makeup Forever products. The first product is the HD powder by Makeup Forever. I’ve heard lots of good stories about it and I’ve always been interested in giving it a try. This is, again, a travel size version of it, which is perfect if you’re not sure if you’re gonna like it but you do want to give it a try, and so far I really like the way it works!
I also got one of their Aqua Eyes Eye Pencils. I’m a really big fan of eye pencil and I really wanted to try one by Makeup Forever. I ended up going for this really pretty matte medium brown colour since I think it’s a very unique colour and I think it’s really pretty!
Because I spent so much money at Sephora I actually received a Happy Birthday Blush by Sephora for free with my purchase. It’s actually quite cute and I think it’s really nice that they gave me one!
After Sephora I went to Douglas. Douglas in Poland is absolutely amazing. They stock Laura Mercier, The Balm, Bobbi Brown, Inglot and lots of other amazing brands. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been considering buying a new foundation, preferably one by Laura Mercier since everyone is so positive about those all the time. I ended up getting the Smooth Finish Flawless Foundation because the lady at the store recommended it to me and so far I really like it!
Also at Douglas I got three Argan Oil masks because they were on sale and they looked pretty interesting to me. I really want to start using more face masks so this seemed like a good way to stock up on them so I’m actually able to do so.
I also got three more masks by the brand Ziaja. I’ve tried some Ziaja products in the past which I really liked so I was curious to see if these masks would be just as good as those other products. I’ve no clue what all these masks are supposed to do since everything on the packaging is written in Polish, but I hope they’ll do great things for my skin.
Next up I bought some more of the Dr. Rescue Baby Lips. I’ve been wanting to buy one of the colourless ones for ages now but I couldn’t find them anywhere. When I saw them at Super-Pharm I decided to buy two. I also bought another Baby Lips in a pretty natural shade.
Onto the goodies I got at Inglot. Inglot is by the way one of my favourite stores on earth. In Poland Inglot is actually way cheaper than in the Netherlands, especially the Freedom System products are a lot more affordable there. I ended getting a palette with 20 different shades. I actually intended on getting a 15-colour palette, but since they only had 20 or 10 I decided to go for 20 instead.
The colours I chose for this palette are all very neutral and wearable shades. Most of them are shimmery but I chose about 7 or 8 matte shades. I really love the way this palette turned out and I’ve been using it a lot lately!
Aside from the palette with the eyeshadows I also got two cheek palettes. The one on the left contains a contour powder and a very light, almost highlightery, blush colour. I’ve been wanting to buy a good contouring product for quite a while now since all of my contour/bronzing products are pretty orange and this shade is absolutely perfect.
The palette on the right contains two blushes. One is quite a peachy shade and the other one is a bit more red and perfect for autumn. I really like both shades!
Another thing I’ve been wanting for a while is a corrector for underneath the eyes. I have quite bad under eye circles and concealer on its own has never really been enough. I intended to buy just the creamy concealer, but the lady at the counter applied lots of their corrective concealer on me and since the liquid one looked pretty as well I ended up buying both.
The creamy one is a bit more yellow and therefore a lot more corrective than the liquid one is. The liquid concealer has a more highlighting effect but because of its yellowy undertone it’s corrective as well.
The last products I got at Inglot, and the last products I got in general, are two eyebrow products. Ever since the Anastasia Dip Brow was launched I’ve been wanting to try something like that. Therefore I bought this brow pomade/gel by Inglot. It comes in a teeny tiny jar and does an extraordinary job at filling in your eyebrows. I absolutely love it.
To apply that gel I bought a little brush. I do have lots of brushes and lots of brushes like that one, but since I wanted to use it while I was in Poland (and since I didn’t bring one of my own) I though it might be a good idea to buy one there as well. It’s a really nice and high quality brush and it really does the job for me.
to finish off my brows I also bought their new Brow Shaping Gel. The lady at Inglot applied it to my brows and it looked absolutely stunning so there was no way I wouldn’t buy it. It really fills in the brows and makes them look absolutely perfect. I love it!
And that was pretty much every beauty and non-beauty related product I bought in Krakow. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which products you want me to review!
