Back when I ordered the Bergamot Pear Body Milk and the Almond Cherry Body Milk from Korres I also got one of those 1+1 sets of the Bergamot Pear Shower Gel. I just loved the scent so much I really wanted to try the shower gel too. So, last week I reviewed the body milks and today it’s time to review the shower gel. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not this shower gel is just as amazing as the matching body milk, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Korres Bergamot Pear Shower Gel comes in a really pretty autumnal packaging. For some strange reason the packaging of the shower gel doesn’t really match the packaging of the matching body milk, that one has a mint green background colour, but I do really like the way this one looks. I love the autumnal look and I like the look of the bottle in general. I think it has a really nice shape and I’m also quite a big fan of the font they used.
Another thing I like about the bottle is that it isn’t too big or bulky but it does come with 250 ml of shower gel which is a rather normal amount of product. This way it’s way more efficient when it comes to storing it but it’s also more efficient if you want to take it with you because it just doesn’t take in too much space.
Anyway, that’s enough about the packaging, let’s move on to the claims. According to Korres this shower gel smells like bergamot blossom notes and sweet pear. It has a creamy-foam texture and it has wheat proteins and Althea extract in it, which are supposed to maintain the skin’s natural moisture levels. Aside from that it doesn’t say much on the back of the bottle, but since it’s just a shower gel I don’t really think there’s much more to claim anyway.
But before we jump into details regarding the product itself, let’s first talk about the scent shall we? The Korres Bergamot Pear shower gel has a very unique scent like most of the Korres products I’ve tried so far. They don’t come out with scents you can buy anywhere. What I like about Bergamot Pear is that it has so many sides to it. It isn’t just a sweet scent or just a florally scent, it has quite a lot of sides to it. It’s a combination of a sweet pear scent, but also a more warm and calm scent. It’s incredibly difficult for me to describe, but trust me: it smells amazing!
Moving on to the consistency of the shower gel. To be completely honest with you guys it isn’t that special. I don’t think there are a lot of shower gels out there than are genuinely special when it comes to texture or anything like that, but okay. Let’s just stick to the point. It’s just a regular gel formula that, once you rub it amongst your skin, becomes pretty foamy. I do like it when my shower gels get pretty foamy because that just feels really nice even though I know that foam is most often caused by an ingredient which is known for its drying effects.
However, I don’t feel like the shower gel is drying at all. Of course that’s something that is incredibly difficult to tell since I’m someone who uses lots of products on my body, but I can tell the difference between shower gels that are definitely drying and shower gels like this, ones that don’t really change the level of moisture in the skin.
Aside from feeling nice on the skin and making me feel nice and clean again there aren’t a lot of things that really stand out to me when it comes to this shower gel. I know that that might make it sound like I’m not that enthusiastic about this shower gel or like it just isn’t that great of a product, but that’s not what I’m trying to say at all. This actually is one of my all time favourite shower gels, I’ve been using it almost every single day since I got it and I just can’t stop using it.
However, shower gels just aren’t that special and aside from the fact that the scent is very unique, the pretty packaging and the fact that it’s not drying I just don’t think there is anything else to mention. Of course I could go on and on about very tiny details that you probably won’t even notice if you use it yourself, but that would be a waste of time wouldn’t it?
With that being said it’s time for me to form a conclusion. Overall I’m a really big fan of this Korres Bergamot Pear Shower Gel. The scent is just incredible, I’m extremely in love with it. Aside from that I’m a huge fan of the way that it looks and I just really enjoy using it. It’s a great product and quality wise I have nothing bad to say about it. Overall it’s just the perfect shower gel and great for this time of year! I love it!
And that basically concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of this shower gel and also let me know which shower gel is your current favourite!
