Recently Tanja, the owner of KAYA Jewellery, contacted me about her jewellery. She has a collection of necklaces, bracelets and whatnot made for mothers and children. But there is more to her collection than just jewellery. The great thing about her shop is that she donates a good amount of money to poor children in Gambia so they can go to school again. At this point already 16 children have been able to go to school thanks to her! So, without rambling too much: today I’m going to review one of her jewellery pieces, the golden heart necklace. If you’re interested in finding out what the quality is like and whatnot, make sure you continue reading!
The piece of jewellery I chose to review is this golden necklace with a small heart on it. I really like small and dainty necklaces like this and I really like the heart shape, especially on necklaces. This necklace comes with a little card that says mom since it’s aimed at mothers. Because of that packaging it’s a great necklace to give as a gift to your mom for mother’s day or any other festivity, but you can obviously buy it for yourself as well.
Like I said the necklace is very small and delicate, and in my opinion it’s absolutely gorgeous. The gold colour looks really pretty and not too yellow at all. The main problem I struggle with when it comes to jewellery is that it always changes colour after a little while. According to KAYA Jewellery their pieces stay beautiful forever since they’re made of .925 silver with a gold coating. I haven’t had it for long enough to say whether or not that’s actually true, but I do trust them on their word. You’re not making claims like that if it ain’t true, right?

Before I jump into any more details I thought it might be interesting to explain wat .925 silver actually means. Back when I was on the hunt for a new necklace (because mine had turned black) I saw it everywhere, but I had no clue what it meant. According to what I’ve read 925 silver means that 92.5% of the product is made out of silver. Silver on its own is very bendable and prone to damage, so therefore they add 7.5% of another metal like copper to make the whole thing stronger and damage free. Together it creates a high-quality material that is used for high-quality jewellery.
So, this necklace is made out of great material. That’s one thing be know now, and that’s the most important thing to me. Aside from the quality of the material I also think that the design of the necklace is very important. A necklace can be well made, but when it’s ugly, you won’t wear it.
Luckily KAYA Jewellery has a very wide assortment of jewellery. Ranging from necklaces to bracelets and rings. There’s something for everyone in their collection. They even engrave jewellery for free to make it even more personal to you. This way you can engrave an important date or name on your jewellery so it can always be remembered.
Speaking about the amazing services KAYA Jewellery deliver, they also give you a little cloth you can use to clean your piece of jewellery. Even though the necklace is made out of great materials, it’s still important to take care of it and clean it frequently. I personally never have the supplies to do that, so it’s great you get that with your purchase!
The company itself is owned by a lovely lady with a very big heart. I think it’s great that she combined her passion for jewellery with doing something good for the world, giving back. By the way, if you’re interested in reading some more information on Tanja’s giving back project, you can check out her site! I think it’s so selfless and generous of her. I think she deserves a lot of love and respect for that!
Overall I think KAYA Jewellery is a great company, I think that Tanja (the owner) is an amazing women and I absolutely love the necklace I got! It’s absolutely stunning, it’s high quality and it’s definitely a piece I’ll wear for a long, long time. If you’re interested in buying a new piece of jewellery I highly recommend checking out her site, it’s definitely worth it!
