I know it’s a bit late. It’s very late actually. But today I’m going to show you which products have been hot and happening for me during the month of June. It’s a bit late because I have been so busy with everything, but because I discovered so many amazing new products, I did want to share them with you. So, if you’re interested in finding out which products I have been loving, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with hair. First off all I’ve been loving the Nivea Diamond Gloss Shampoo. I’ve used this in the past, but I believe this is a different formula than the one I used back then. However, it’s a really nice and basic shampoo. It doesn’t make my hair greasy which is the most important thing for me and it makes it smell really nice. I really like using it!
My favourite hair discovery of the month is the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Shampoo and Conditioner. I absolutely love this stuff. It smells incredible, it makes my hair feel really nice, soft and hydrated and it keeps my hair from getting super greasy. It’s absolutely amazing!
I’ve also been loving the L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Shimmering Lotion and Bath & Shower Gel. I bought these in their outlet store for a great price and I couldn’t wait to give them a try. I had pretty high expectations, but they really lived up to them.
The body lotion has a really nice and thin texture which causes it to sink in quickly but still be very moisturising. The shower gel is pretty much amazing too. It smells really nice and fancy and it doesn’t feel drying on the skin. I really enjoy using both products!
But we’re not done yet when it comes to shower gel. No, no, not even close. The next two shower gels I love are the The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil and Piñita Colada Shower Gels. Both of them are very unique in their own way and I really love the way both of them smell.
I really enjoy using the Wild Argan Oil one on days I feel like pampering myself. The Piñita Colada one is perfect for hot summery days when you feel like you need a refreshment. It’s perfect for that!
My last favourite shower gel is the Treacle Moon Pretty Rose Hearts shower gel. If you know me you might know that I’m a huge fan of the TBS Atlas Mountain Rose collection. This Treacle Moon shower gel smells pretty similar to the products of that line. This one is a bit more creamy which I really like and is therefore one of my favourite shower gels. And besides that, look at how adorable the packaging is. You can’t dislike that!
I also fell in love with the Dove Derma Spa Body Lotion this month. I have been wanting to try one for ages and now that I did I can’t go back. I use it almost everyday. It’s one of the best products I’ve ever owned and I will never stop loving it. I highly, highly recommend it!
The last non-makeup favourite I want to show you guys today is the The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. This is basically the solid version of my beloved Camomile Cleansing Oil and it works just as amazing as that one. The thing I love so much about this one is that it’s so easy for on the go because it’s compact and this won’t leak, which was a problem I struggled with a lot with the oil version.
This butter will remove all of your makeup at once, and I’m talking full face of makeup here. Waterproof makeup, eyeliner, mascara, you name it. This one will take it off and it will leave your skin feeling super soft and clean.
Onto the makeup favourites. My first favourite is the Essence Smokey Eyes Set. I already reviewed this a while ago. In that review I told you guys that I really liked this set and that I was impressed by the quality. I still am. I use it quite a lot, I actually use it more often than some of my high end palettes and the looks I create with it always turn out gorgeous. I really like it!
I also enjoy using the Catrice Glam & Doll mascara. It’s not as great as the Benefit They’re Real mascara which I really love, but for a budget proof mascara it’s pretty impressive. It has a really nice wand and it separates and lengthens the lashes really well.
The next favourite is the No7 Stay Perfect Shade And Define Eyeshadow Stick which I bought at Boots about a year ago. It took some time for me to love it, but now that I’ve used it quite some times I really like it. It’s super quick and easy. Whenever I don’t feel like doing my eyeshadow I just pop some of this on my lids and I’m good to go!
Next up is the most amazing lipstick I have ever seen; the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Drenched Lip Splash Lipstick in the shade Plummy Rose. Plummy Rose is, like the name already suggests, a plummy rose colour. It’s a very unique shade. It’s nude but it’s different. However, the colour isn’t the reason why I’m so obsessed with this lipstick: it’s the texture. This is the most buttery lipstick my lips have ever touched. It feels super soft, comfortable and moisturising even though it has a semi-matte finish. Â How amazing is that?!
I’m already really falling in love with the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. It adds so much volume and blackness to my lashes. It makes them look very intense and it really finishes of the eye look.
The Tarte Silk Eyeliner is also a favourite. I’m a big fan of eye pencils and I have tried many of them in the past. But I have to say, this is most certainly one of the best eye pencils I have ever tried. It’s super intense, it’s dark, it’s creamy, it applies really nicely and it doesn’t smudge at all. Not even a little bit.
Onto a rediscovery of mine. The NYX blush in Angel. Back in the day this was quite a popular product. I once won it in a give away and I was very excited about it. I used it quite a lot but than I kinda forgot about it. Ever since I asked my boyfriend to hand me one of my blushes and he gave me this one I’m in love with it again. It’s the perfect everyday blush shade. I love it!
My foundation favourite of the month is the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. I’m pretty sure that this is one of the best foundations on the market at this point. It has full coverage and it doesn’t look cakey at all. It’s not dewy but not super matte either, it just has a really nice finish. I really love wearing this one!
To blend that foundation I’ve been using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge a lot. It took ages until I finally bought it but now that I have it, I don’t want to go back. I actually prefer it over my Beautyblender because it’s a tad bit softer. It’s a great sponge and a great budget proof alternative to the Beautyblender.
My last favourite is another obvious one. It’s the Tarte Showstopper Clay Palette. This palette has everything you need: a blush, bronzer, highlighter and 6 shades of eyeshadow. I use this all the time, especially when I’m on the go. Because I’m on the go quite a lot, this is one of my most used palettes at the moment. The quality of the products is absolutely incredible and the colours are stunning. Love this!
And that’s everything for this month. I’m sorry it’s a little late, but I hope you enjoyed reading this June Favourites post anyway!
Thank you so much for reading and be sure to let me know which products you’ve been loving throughout the past few months!
XOXO, Nicole.
