The year is passing by so fast and July has almost come to an end. July has been quite a silent month for me. There weren’t too many new beauty launches and because soon I’ll be going to Krakow I had to save up most of my money. Therefore this month’s favourites are mainly rediscoveries. If you want to see which products I rediscovered and which products I just absolutely love, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with two skincare favourites. The first product is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + Moisturiser. I’ve been using it on and off for ages and especially now that the weather is really acting out on us I’m enjoying this one. That because it’s super light weight and cooling and it sinks into the skin super quickly without leaving a greasy layer. It’s the perfect summer proof moisturiser!
I also really enjoy using my Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel. It’s one of the best cleansers I own and it’s capable of removing all of my makeup, even waterproof stuff, within only a few seconds. It also smells really nice and keeps my skin from breaking out.
One of the products I rediscovered is the Maxfactor CC Cream. I used to love this back in the day, but ever since I started using more high end foundations I sort of forgot about it, until two weeks ago when I was looking for a foundation to leave at my BF’s place. I decided to go for this one because I hardly ever use it, and when I used it I fell in love. This has such a gorgeous finish, it smells incredible and the shade matches my skin tone perfectly. It’s one of the best drugstore foundations ever!
One of the products I did actually discover in July is this oval brush I bought on Ebay. I heard so many good things about it that I decided to just try a very cheap one from Ebay and see how I like it. And I have to say, even though it took some getting used to, it’s an amazing brush. It creates a gorgeous flawless full coverage finish and it works super quickly. I like it!
Next up is this Pixi blush in a very pretty dusty pink shade. I bought this last year in London and at the time I loved it and used it quite frequently, but because at that point I had so many other blushes to try out, I quickly forgot about it. Now that I’ve started using it again I can’t live without it anymore.
This blush adds such a natural but gorgeous looking flush to the cheeks. It’s incredible. I can’t describe how much I like the way this looks on my cheeks, but I can tell you that it is a lot!
Another product I hadn’t discovered before yet is this Evolve Organic Beauty Radiant Glow Mask. I’ve had it for quite a while but I never really used it until now. I actually reviewed it this week I believe. It’s a 100% natural raw cacao & coconut mask that makes your skin feel brand new and completely refreshed.
I love using this mask in the morning when I feel like I need something extra for my skin. I use it before I apply my makeup and aside from making my skin feel and look great, it also makes the makeup I put on top op of it look way better. It’s really, really great.
Onto eyeshadow palettes. My first eyeshadow favourite is this Stila Eyes Are The Window palette. I have both Soul and Spirit and both are favourites of mine, but lately I’ve been really into a specific look I make using Spirit. It’s a very soft but still defined and kinda smokey look. It’s perfect for everyday wear and I’ve been wearing it a lot this month.
I’ve actually read quite a lot of bad things about these Eyes Are The Window palettes by Stila but in my opinion nothing of that is true. Both Soul and Spirit are super pigmented, blendable and the shadows stay intense all day. I highly recommend getting them!
The last eyeshadow favourite, and actually the last favourite, is the UD Gwen Stefani palette. At first I didn’t really know how to create a look using just this palette because it doesn’t have a great dark brown but not extreme dark brown shadow, but now I discovered a look created with this palette that I love, and ever since I did I’ve been using it a lot again. It’s a very pretty palette and I’m really glad I got my hands on it.
And that’s everything for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know which products you’ve been loving throughout the month of July!
XOXO, Nicole.
