Yesterday I came home from my trip to Warsaw which means July is officially over. That also means that it’s time for another monthly favourites post. I have to say that this month has been a pretty exciting month beauty-wise. Of course I shopped a ton in Warsaw, but I also tried a lot of products throughout the month and discovered a lot of new favourites. I even rediscovered an old favourite. Today I’m going to show you all the products that made my July even better. If you’re interested in finding out which products I’m talking about, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with the rediscovery because I’m madly excited about that one. Back in the day I used to love the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation but when I almost ran out of it I forgot about it. Recently I repurchased it and I fell in love with it again. I might love it even more now than I did back then. First of all because the colour is just perfect for my skin tone, but also because it just has a phenomenal texture and amazing coverage and it stays in place all day. It’s definitely one of my all time favourite foundations!
I also fell in love with the MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash Mascara this month. I bought it in a set along with two other products which weren’t disappointing either, but this is definitely my favourite out of those three products. The wand is very unique and very flexible and it’s just the perfect everyday mascara. It separates the lashes really well, it lengthens them, it curls then and it defines them. I really like it if I’m going for a more natural look.
This month I, finally, purchased the Anastasia Brow Definer. A product I’ve been wanting to try for ages now. It’s their eyebrow pencil with the triangular tip as they call it and I absolutely love it. I bought it in the shade Soft Brown which matches my brow and hair colour perfectly and it’s just the easiest pencil for creating the perfect brow. I did need to get the hang of it the first two times I tried it, but once I got the hang of it, it was more than amazing. I’m obsessed with this product!
My next favourite is actually a webshop. It’s Cultbeauty. On Cultbeauty they have pretty much every amazing makeup product you could ever want, their shipping is incredibly fast and they always have great deals going on. This month I’ve ordered there twice and both times I had a great experience. It’s definitely one of my new favourite webshops and I’m definitely going to shop there again very soon!
Moving on to Jouer. Jouer is a brand I discovered this month. I had heard so much of this brand and I actually follow the owner on Snapchat so I have seen much of it as well. After watching a ton of her snaps I just had to get a few of her products. The first product I bought is one that had been on my wishlist for quite some time. It’s the Jouer Powder Highlighter in the shade Citrine. It’s the perfect glowy highlighter with the most amazing soft texture. I’ve been wearing it non-stop since I got it!
I also bought one of the Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipsticks in the shade Dulce De Leche. I was a bit hesitant about it at first because I’m not the biggest fan of liquid lipstick, but I ended up really falling for this product. First of all because the shade is just absolutely gorgeous, but also because of the quality. It’s very pigmented and this puppy stays in place all day. It survives anything. If that isn’t impressive, I don’t know what is!
Moving on to a primer. This is the Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer. I have been wanting to try this primer for ages and now I finally have it. It’s by far one of the best smelling products in my entire collection and aside from that I also think that it works really well. It blurs my imperfections and creates the perfect base for the rest of my makeup. It also actually mattifies the skin and keeps me matte throughout the day which is a huge plus as well!
My last favourite for the month is a brush soap. It’s the LECO Brush Cleansing Soap and it’s amazing. It’s aimed at washing brushes but it’s actually shockingly amazing for washing your Beautyblender. I’m definitely not a huge fan of the scent, but because it cleanses my Beautyblender so well and so quickly I totally think that’s okay. I’m really happy with this soap!
And that’s pretty much it for this month’s favourites. This month there are quite a lot of new items in my collection that I ended up falling in love with and I’m really happy about that. Thank you so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which products you have fallen in love with throughout the month of July!
XOXO, Nicole.
