Inglot Corrective Concealers

27/08/2016

Inglot Corrective Concealers

Back in Poland I paid quite a lot of visits to Inglot. Two of the products I bought there are two corrective concealers. I’ve been wanting to try a product like that for ages and now I finally bought two so I can actually try them out and see how I like them. After testing them thoroughly it’s time for me to review them. If you’re interested in finding out more about these two concealers, make sure you continue reading!

Inglot Corrective Highlighting Concealer

Let’s start off with discussing the Inglot Under Eye Corrective Illuminator. It comes in a simple black packaging like most Inglot products do. It’s simple, it’s clean, it tells you what you need to know and nothing else. I personally like it because to me the simplicity shows how professional the brand is, but that’s obviously totally personal.

The packaging has a unique system. On the top it comes with a little brush. Well not really a brush but those who know a little about makeup probably know what I’m talking about. Usually these kinds of concealers activate by twisting the top, but this one comes with a little button on the bottom that you have to press instead. I really like that about it.

Inglot Highlighting Corrective Concealer

The Inglot Under Eye Corrective Illuminator is available in a total of 6 colours. All are either peachy toned or yellow toned. The lady at the counter recommended me to go for something yellow toned since I’m so pale and she tried shade number 51 on me, which is perfect for pale girls like me.

What I like about this concealer, or actually illuminator, is that it’s not that yellow that you need to put a concealer on top of it to make it look okay. It has a yellow tint to it, but you can definitely use it on its own.

When it comes to actually brightening the under eye area I’m actually pretty impressed. It really fades the blueness under the eyes and makes it look like you actually had a pretty decent night rest. Since it’s not an actual concealer but more of a illuminator you should not expect it to really cover up those big blue bags underneath your eyes, but it does lighten up the area really nicely.

Overall I really enjoy using this product, especially on days I have to wake up early (and be awfully tired) but I do want to look good. It’s definitely not a musthave product, but it’s an incredible product to have!

Inglot Creamy Corrective Concealer Packaging

Inglot Yellow Corrective Concealer

Let’s move onto the second corrective concealer I bought at Inglot. I actually didn’t want to touch it before taking the picture, but the day I was going to take a picture of it the lid accidentally made a big scratch in the concealer so that’s why it’s not looking perfectly new anymore. Aside from that little accident I do really like the packaging it comes in. It’s professional looking and because it’s magnetic you can pile up the pots if you have multiple ones.

There are quite a few of concealers and corrective concealers available for the Freedom System palettes. The one I chose has a very yellow tone to it, a bit more yellow than the Illuminator. The concealer is called Y which I think stands for yellow and is perfect for cancelling out the blueness underneath the eye, especially if you have a very pale complexion like I do.

Inglot Corrective Concealer

The texture of this concealer is very different from the illuminator. While the illuminator was very thin and slightly watery, this is a more rich and creamy product. I like both textures but for a concealer I prefer the texture of this concealer. It’s super creamy and rich and therefore it provides a lot of coverage but it’s super easy to blend in properly as well.

Because it’s so creamy it is a product you do want to set, but that’s pretty standard for products you put underneath your eyes. Even though it is pretty creamy and it definitely needs to be set with a powder, it doesn’t crease too easily, so that’s definitely a plus for me.

Inglot Corrective Concealer Yellow

When it comes to actually colour correcting it does an amazing job. I do love the illuminator and that little guy does do great things for me, but this creamy corrector is even more amazing. It literally cancels out all the darkness underneath my eyes and makes me look like I’ve been sleeping amazing all my life. It’s incredible.

To top that all off it also stays in place really well, well, if you set it. If you don’t it won’t (obviously), but that’s not really a likely to happen scenario. I really love the way this product works and I think it’s perfect for those of you who are night owls but have to get up early for school every morning!

Inglot Corrective Concealers Swatch

Here’s a little swatch of both products. The swatch on the left is the creamy corrector and the one on the right is the illuminator. The swatch does make it seem like the illuminator isn’t yellowy at all, but trust me that isn’t true. It just seems like that because the product next to it is basically plain yellow and the illuminator has just a hint of yellow to it.

Overall I really love both products. It’s the perfect combo for my back to school makeup routine and I really enjoy using them. I’m a huge fan of both and I highly recommend giving them a try, especially if you’re struggling with bad under eye circles like I do!

The Inglot Creamy Corrective Concealer costs €7,- and the Inglot Under Eye Corrective Illuminator costs €17,-. Both are available at Inglot.com and at their stores.

That was everything for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know which concealer you prefer using!

XOXO, Nicole.

Die creamy corrector klinkt wel als mijn ding :O ik kan zooo erg donkere kringen hebben he. Heb niet eens iets van Inglot in huis, terwijl het me wel allemaal zo mooi lijkt!
