It has been a hot minute since I last did a favourite post. I’ve just been so busy with school, sports and life, I didn’t really get around to it. However, I’ve finally managed to plan my life in a way I do have some spare time and therefore I can finally do another favourites post again. I have missed it you guys! Anyway, throughout the past couple of month’s I have collected a ton of new and rediscovered favourites. Today I’m going to share some of them with you guys. If you’re interested in finding out which products really made my May, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with an old love, the Dior Nude Foundation. I think it has been a year or two since I bought it. When I first bought it I was all about it and I used it every single day. However, I started trying out other foundations which lead to me forgetting about this one a little bit. Recently I decided to put it on again and I totally fell in love with it again. It’s just the best foundation in the whole entire world. The formula is just incredible, it glides onto the skin and the finish is just phenomenal. This really is the prettiest foundation in the whole entire world. It’s definitely one with a hefty price tag, but to me that is 100% worth it!
Another favourite of mine is the Biodermal Mattifying Sun Fluid for face. I bought this last year when I finally learned that wearing sunscreen on your face is very important and back then I already loved it. Throughout the colder months I didn’t use it that much, but now that it is sunny again I am back in love with it. The reason why I love this so much is because it has an incredible texture. It’s nice and thin and feels weightless on the skin. It’s also a non-greasy formula and it even has a mattifying effect. It’s perfect for underneath my makeup, I love using it as a primer!
Moving on to two Clinique products. Not too long ago my mom, my best friend and I went on another one of our annual trips to Germany. One of the stores we went to was Muller. In Muller I came across this little set with two Clinique products. It was discounted and I have been meaning to try the moisturiser that came in the set for a while now. I’m talking about the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Gel-Crème. I don’t know what it is about Clinique moisturiser, but somehow they have this really nice effect on my skin where they make my skin feel incredibly smooth. Like, really incredibly smooth. I have never felt a such thing and therefore I’m just head over heels with this product!
The other Clinique favourite of the month is another rediscovered product. This is the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector. It’s a very tiny tube that is a little overpriced, but the product that comes inside is amazing. I use this as a primer on my T-zone. It does an amazing job at filling in my pores ad making my face look more smooth and even. Usually I don’t like products with textures like this one, the silicony-feel, but in this case I’m all about it.
Next up is a mascara favourite. It’s the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Daring Length + Volume Mascara. I have to admit that at first I wasn’t the least bit impressed by this mascara. It had a weird wand and a very wet formula. Both of which didn’t really work out for me. However, I kept using it and somehow, someday I started to like it. From that moment onwards I started liking it more and more and now it’s one of my favourite mascara’s. It is the most separating and lengthening mascara I have ever used and I love the way it looks on my lashes. It’s just a really pretty effect!
Another eye-favourite is the Hourglass Graphik Eyeshadow Palette in Ravine. I bought this back in London and I have been loving it ever since. At first I did struggle with the look I wanted to make with it a bit, but now that I have used it more often I know my way around with this palette and I really like the way it looks on my lashes. My favourite thing about it is how incredibly pigmented the shadows are. They really, really blew me away!
And then I have two lip-favourites. Both are by Dior. The first favourite is the Dior Lip Glow Lip Balm in the shade Berry. I have been meaning to try one of the Dior Lip Glow balms for a long time now but I really wanted the berry one and I couldn’t find it anywhere. A couple of weeks ago I finally saw it online and I immediately decided to order it. I’m definitely aware of the fact that it’s a crazy expensive lip balm, but in my opinion it’s so worth it. From the colour payoff to the hydrating benefits of it, everything about this lip balm is phenomenal. It really does amazing things for my lips!
The other Dior lip-favourite is the Dior Addict Lip Plumping Gloss in the shade Diorama. I ordered this because I just really wanted to try a Dior lipgloss and I definitely don’t regret making that decision. First of all I think that the colour of it is really pretty, it’s natural but feminine. I also really like the formula of the gloss. Even though it is a lipgloss it’s not sticky in any way, shape or form and it’s really comfortable to wear.
Next up is the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Power Gelee. I bought this last year and I immediately fell in love with it. When I bought my Chanel Le Signe Du Lion Highlighter however, I did forget about it for a hot minute. Recently I have rediscovered it and I’m fully in love with it again. It’s one of the prettiest highlighters ever created and it just gives you the prettiest glow in the universe. I’m a really big fan of the shade of the highlighter and the intensity of it is just perfect.
Another huge cheek-favourite is the Hourglass Ambient Lightning Blush in the shade Mood Exposure. This was actually a gift from my boyfriend and that makes it even more special. Aside from that it’s also the prettiest and most high-quality blush in the whole entire world. The powder is so soft and silky and the colour is so unique and stunning. I have seriously worn this every single day since I got it and I’ll definitely continue doing so until it’s empty!
My very last favourite of the month is the Collistar Face Magic Drops. This is a self-tanning concentrate. Lately I’ve been getting into self-tanning a little more because I don’t tan naturally. After tanning my body for a while I was interested in using something specifically made for the face. While googling I came across this product. And surprise, surprise, it’s amazing. This concentrate allows you to get a nice and natural streak-free tan within an hour. It’s very easy to apply, it smells absolutely incredible and it is very effective. I will review this soon, but as for now, it’s amazing and literally the best self-tanner I have tried so far!
With that being said it’s time for me to end this post. I hope you enjoyed reading todays post and be sure to let me know which products are your May favourites!
