I Went To Warsaw And This Is What I Bought!

28/08/2018

As some of you might know, I went to Poland a couple of weeks ago. Just like last year my best friend and I went to Warsaw and most of our trip we went shopping. Since that’s what we love doing to most on our holidays together. Unlike last year I didn’t get an awful lot of new makeup and beauty products, so this haul isn’t going to be as excessive as last year. But I still got a ton of fun items that I really wanted to show you today. So, if you’re interested in finding out what I bought in Warsaw and what you can expect on my blog in the near future, make sure you continue reading this post!

Let’s start off with some of the most exciting things I bought. I first of all went to Sephora. Sephora isn’t in the Netherlands anymore so I don’t go there very often. But throughout the last couple of years most brands sold at Sephora are easily available from where I live. Therefore it wasn’t the most exciting thing in the world anymore, but I did end up getting three really nice products.

The first item I got is this Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Palette in the Cool Neutral version. I had been eyeing the Dior Backstage products for quite some time now so I thought this was a great moment to finally get one of the products and give it a whirl. I had been doubting about whether I should get Warm Neutral or Cool Neutral for quite some time now, but from experience I know that purply shades suit me better than orange ones, which is why I ended up going for the Cool edition.

Along with that palette I also bought another one of their Eyeshadow Blending Brushes. I have almost exactly the same one, but that one is very old and since I do love using it a ton I decided to get another one of it. It was on sale as well so that made it even more attractive to me.

The last item I got at Sephora is this gorgeous Zoeva Nude Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette. Zoeva is available in the Netherlands, but somehow I never really ended up getting this palette. When I saw it in the counter and swatched a few of the shades I fell in love with it for real and couldn’t resist buying it. So I got it and I’m really excited to crack into it and see what the quality is like. This is my first non-brush Zoeva product ever!

Dior Backstage Eye Palette €51 – Sephora 73 Crease Shadow Brush €13 – Zoeva Nude Spectrum €36

Another one of my favourite stores in Poland is Douglas. The Douglas in Poland is much bigger than it is in the Netherlands and they do stock more brands that I love. One of those brands is Tom Ford. I have always wanted to get a Tom Ford lipstick because they are just the most extreme luxurious lipsticks I know and I do dig that. So, I ended up induldging. At the moment I got these I hadn’t bought a ton of things at all so I decided it was okay for me to spend this much on lipstick.

Anyway, I ended up getting three lipsticks. Two from the Lips & Boys range and one from another more hydrating range of lipsticks, the Moisturecore Lip Colour range to be exact. I got the shades Collin, Joaquin and Moisturecore lipstick is in the shade Ortranto.

When I bought these shades we went to Starbucks to sit down and have a drink. I decided to look at the lipsticks and shockingly I realised I made a mistake. I accidentally got Connor instead of Collin and Connor was a bright red shade. Luckily the employees at Douglas were very kind and I was able to exchange it! Thank god!

Tom Ford Lips & Boys €35 – Tom Ford Moisturecore Lip Colour €56

Moving on to some of my favourite purchases, the Bath & Body Works products! It’s one of my favourite stores but it’s also very pricy. Therefore I didn’t go too wild. I ended up getting a body lotion for my mom and three products from myself. The products I got for myself are all from the same range, the Warm Vanilla Sugar range. I ended up getting the shower gel and the body lotion and a big candle as well.

The candle was something I’ve been wanting to have my entire life. I used to always see them in the back of the videos from all American beauty Youtubers. They aren’t available where I live so therefore I never got the chance to buy one. So when I saw this one and I smelled how good it smelled I decided to just go for it. And I have no regrets at all. I don’t burn candles all that often, but only the look of this one is already amazing and that makes it worth it for me!

Bath & Body Works Showergel €12,95 – Bodylotion €12,95 – Candle €24,95

And that wasn’t just it for the beauty part of this haul. I bought three more beauty related items. First of all I decided to get a little nail polish. While wandering the streets of Warsaw we came across a women who had the prettiest nail polish on her toes and that inspired me to do the same. So, the day after seeing her I searched the entire drugstore for a great nail polish. To my surprise -and disappointment- there wasn’t a ton of choice since most brands that usually stock nail polish didn’t in that store, but I did end up getting a pretty cool colour. I ended up getting a Rimmel London nail polish in a really pretty bright purple colour. It has been on my toes ever since the day I got it!

The last two beauty purchases are these two Body Yogurts from The Body Shop. They had a 3 for 2 sale going on so I decided I wanted to benefit from that. I grabbed one in the scent Almond Milk & Honey and two in the British Rose scent. One for my mom and one for me. I have been using them a lot lately and so far I’m really loving them. Sadly they were a little more expensive in Poland, thanks to which I would’ve spend the same amount of money if I got them in the Netherlands without the 3 for 2 sale. However, I’m still glad I got them and I really enjoy using them!

Rimmel London Nail Polish €3,99 – The Body Shop Body Yogurts €10

And that was it for the beauty part of this haul. It isn’t very impressive, however I do like the things that I ended up getting. Aside from these beauty items I also got a few pieces of jewellery at Bijou Brigitte. First of all I got this silver necklace with two circles that are attached to each other. I normally exclusively wear golden jewellery, but I really liked this one so I decided to give it a chance.

I also got a couple pairs of earrings. The first pair I got are these little stars. I think they are absolutely adorable. I love how small and dainty they are, yet they are very pretty and definitely eye-catching. In addition to those beautiful stars I also got these shiny ones and a little set with three pairs of earrings. All of which are beautiful and all of which I’ve worn already. I used to always wear one and the same pair of earrings, so I’m really glad I finally decided to switch it up because there are a lot of earrings in this world. Just wearing the same pair over and over again is boring.

Lastly I got a lot of clothing in Warsaw. I do think clothing is pretty difficult to photograph in a cute way in my home, which is why I didn’t take pictures of everything. However, what I did want to show you guys are my two favourite fashion-purchases, my new Levi’s jeans. For the longest time I’ve been wanting to get a pair of Levi’s Mile High Skinny Jeans. One of the sales associates at Levi’s once recommended them to me, but back then I didn’t feel like spending half of my pay-check on getting one. However, in Warsaw, when we went to the Levi’s store and were looking through the sale section- I came across this beautiful pair of black Mile High Skinny Jeans. Those who know me know that I live in black pants so this seemed like it was meant to be. They also had exactly my size so well, I couldn’t say no.

The last day, when I decided I didn’t want to spend any money anymore, we went to Levi’s again to find a gift for my friends’ boyfriend. However, we ended up looking through the sale section again and guess what. I found another pair of Mile High Skinny Jeans in my size again. Again! This time it was a jean coloured one. Something I don’t have much of, but did need. I ended up fitting it and well, I bought it.

I do think that these jeans require some getting used to, since the jeans I normally wear are very, very stretchy and these are more like real jeans and therefore more stiff. But I do like the way they look on my body and how well made they feel, so I’m sure I’m gonna get a lot of use out of them!

Levi’s Mile High Super Skinny Jeans – €99,95 (the black one was on sale for €45, the other one for €54)

And that will be it for this pretty big Warsaw haul. It might not be as big of a haul as the one I did last year, but I did get a lot of high quality pieces this time and I’ll really happy about that. I’m really excited to try out all of the new products I got and wear all of my new pieces of clothing.

Anyway, thank you guys so much for reading today’s post, and be sure to let me know which items you are most excited about and what you want me to review first!

Sephoraaa! ♥ Ik ben eerlijk gezegd blij dat er geen in België zit. Als je ze op iedere straathoek kan kopen, zouden die prachtige Amerikaanse merken een deel van hun charme verliezen, denk ik. Bath & Body Works is zo’n tof merk. Die kaarsen branden echt geweldig goed!
