I’ve never been a big fan of Apple. Not their phones, not their laptops, nothing. However, I did really want to buy a Macbook. This because Macbooks are just one of the best laptops ever created and they’re just stunning. So, after a very long time I finally decided to just go for it and buy one. Today I’m going to show it to you guys and tell you a little more about it and about how I like it! If you’re interested in that, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with telling you why I wanted a new laptop in the first place. Last year I bought a laptop. The Toshiba Satalitte something. It was a big white laptop and it was amazing. It had lots of storage, it looked pretty it was everything I was looking for in a laptop at that time.
However, after a year the battery life started to get really bad. It didn’t last long enough to survive a school day which made life quite difficult. Another thing that started to annoy me was how big and heavy it was. It broke all of my bags, it was terrible to carry with you all day and my shoulders didn’t like it either.
So in the end I decided I wanted something new. I wanted something that was very lightweight, not too big, something that had a battery life that lasts all day and something that starts up very quickly.
After discussing it with my boyfriend (who knows about this kinda stuff) I ended up deciding to buy the Macbook Air 13″. This because it’s one of the most lightweight laptops out there and it has a battery life of 12 hours. That’s definitely enough to last all day.
At first I wasn’t sure whether I should go for the 11″ or 13″, but since the specs of the 13″ seemed better and it has an SD card reader which the 11″ doesn’t have, I ended up going for the slightly bigger one.
And now let’s move on to the part where I tell you how I like it. When it comes to the design I’m a big fan. The laptop is super thin, less than 1 cm at the front and it’s very lightweight. It’s such a difference compared to my old laptop. I really like how simplistic it looks and I like that it’s made out of one piece. It doesn’t have any more edges or anything like that than necessary and I like that about it. The keyboard is really nice as well. It’s not as noisy as the one on my previous laptop was and it types really nicely.
When it comes to quality I’m impressed too. The battery does actually last all day, so there’s no need for me to charge while binge watching my favourite shows on Netflix and it’s just one of the quickest laptop’s I’ve ever seen.
The only small down side is that it comes with OS X and I’m so used to Windows that it’s hard for me to adjust. I also don’t like that some programs don’t run on OS X like my favourite picture editing program, but because of the Bootcamp program thingy I can now switch from OS X to Windows whenever I want to.
Overall I’m really glad I bought this laptop. It’s absolutely incredible. It’s quick, it’s pretty, it’s lightweight and I can access OS X as well as Windows. I am really glad I bought it and even though it’s a bit of an investment I think it’s absolutely worth it. If you’re on the hunt for the perfect laptop to take with you to college, this is the one!
Thank you so much for reading today’s post and let me know if you have a Macbook and if so, let me know how you like it and if you have any tips for me!
XOXO, Nicole.

Mooie koop!
