HAPPY NEW YEAR GIRL! It’s 2015! It’s unbelievable how fast 2014 has passed by. It has been a great year for me, I’ve done so many fun things, I’ve accomplished so much and I’ve learned a lot. I hope you all had a fantastic new years eve and got that new years kiss from your crush at midnight. To stick to the new years theme I decided to discuss my new years resolutions with you guys. I’m not the kind of person that actually believes I stick to them, I know that within 24 hours to a week I’ve already failed most of them, but I still want to try. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
Before I get started I do want to mention that these resolutions will be beauty related. I’m not a fan at all of those “lose weight” or “go to the gym more often” or “eat healthier” resolutions, so I’ll stick to beauty related things.
1. Never wear chipped nail polish.
In November and December I’ve done a pretty good job on wearing nail polish more often, but the remove your chipped nail polish and redo them part didn’t go as planned. I’ve been walking around with chipped nails way too often and I just hate the look of that. Either remove it and walk around with bare nails or redo them, but please Nicole, please, don’t ever walk around with that horribly chipped nail polish ever again.
2. Tame your brows!
Okay, I have to stick to this one. This is just something that must be done. When it comes to plucking the lost hairs in the brow area I’m a mess. I just hate doing it because I always miss a few hairs and my skin looks burning red afterwards and they grow back so fast and so on. But how many times I wanted to take a picture of an eyeshadow look and my brows were just wild. You don’t want to know how many times that happened. I need to tame them, this is not an option anymore, this has to be done.
3. Save up.
This one doesn’t look beauty related, but as strange as it may sound it actually is. This summer I will be going to London, a.k.a. the makeup heaven and I want to shop there like no one has ever done before. In order to do that I need some money, so I’m going to have to save up. (The only exception allowed is the TBS January sale, I can’t not shop there).
4. Spend some time on those hairs.
Well, when it comes to doing my hair I’m again a horrible mess. I never, never, never ever do my hair. The only thing you’ll find me doing in the morning with my hair is brush is and pin back the left over of my bangs. It’s not like it looks like I’m a caveman, but it’s not pretty too. I mean, if you’re waking up early anyways and if you do have time to put on an entire eyeshadow look, just take that extra ten minutes to do something more with those hairs of yours girl (yes I’m actually writing to myself).
That was already it. I couldn’t come up with any more, but the ones I did come up with are pretty important to me. I really need to take care of myself better. I hope you enjoyed reading this, and I would love to know your resolutions!
