Throughout the last couple of years I’ve fallen more and more in love with highlighter. I remember that back in the day it didn’t do much for me, but these days I just love it. Because I’m a big fan I have collected quite a few gorgeous highlighters throughout the years. However, I am very picky when it comes to highlighter, so a lot of them have gone throughout the years as well. In today’s post I’m going to show you guys my highlighter collection. So, if you’re interested in finding out which beauties are in my current highlighter collection, make sure you continue reading this post!
Let’s start off with the two most eye-catching pieces in my entire highlighter collection. These are both by Too Faced. Obviously Too Faced is known for their amazing looking packagings and adorable products and these two show that that’s totally true. The first one is the Too Faced Love Light Highlighter in Blinded By The Light. I bought this about a year ago and I’ve loved it ever since. I have to say that the packaging is a little over the top for me. But on the other hand I also think it’s kinda adorable. I don’t know. The highlighter on the inside is definitely really pretty. It gives me a natural but stunning glow that I love for everyday wear.
The other highlighter is the Too Faced Sweetheart Beads Radiant Glow Highlighter. I bought this from someone else because I was obsessed with the way the packaging looked. And I have to say that I still absolutely adore the look of it. However, it’s not a highlighter that I use all that often. I do think it requires quite a bit of effort and usually I’m just not down for that. I’m keeping it around anyway just because it looks so darn cute!
Next up are my three MAC highlighters, or well, Mineralized Skin Finishes. The first MAC highlighter I ever bought was the one on the left. It’s from the Naturally Yours collection and the shade is called Blonde. I have to say that I don’t normally use this as a highlight. I prefer using it all over the cheeks. But either way this is a very pretty product. It’s actually one of my favourite highlighters in my entire highlighter collection, just because it looks this pretty.
Next to that is an Extra Dimension Skin Finish from the Christmas collection of 2017. I believe it was called the Snowball collection. The shade is called Show Gold and it’s a really pretty peachy golden colour. It has a stunning snowflake print on it, which is actually why I never use it. I just think that it’s such a gorgeous collector piece that I just don’t want to ruin it.
The last MAC highlighter in my highlighter collection is the famous Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle. I think this was, aside from the one in Blonde, one of my first expensive highlighters. It was so hyped back in the day I just needed to have it in my collection as well. Even though it’s not as hyped as it used to be back in the day, I still think this is one of the prettiest highlighters I own and I use it a ton!
Dior & Chanel
I’ve said this about a lot of products already, but these are my absolute favourite highlighters in my entire highlighter collection. I mean I just love them to death. Dior and Chanel are two of my absolute favourite brands, so it isn’t a big shock that I love these two products. The first one, on the left, is from Dior. It’s the Dior Nude Air Lumiziner in 001. It’s the perfect everyday highlighter. It is intense but wearable and the shade just looks good on literally anybody. I think it’s just perfection in a compact.
The Chanel one is from the Christmas collection from 2017 and is called the Chanel Le Signe Du Lion. It was very hard to find but that was because it was a Chanel site exclusive. I had never ordered anything from there because they don’t do coupon codes. But I was so in love with this little beauty that I made an exception. Thank god I did, because this is just stunning. The highlighter is really nice and intense and the brush that comes with it is amazing as well!
Bobbi, Jouer and Estée Lauder
Moving on to brands I only have one highlighter of. Starting off with the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in the shade Bronze. I once got this in a set off of QVC because it’s just one of the most popular Bobbi Brown products. I have to say that even though I do really love the look of it, I don’t really use this all that often. I’m just not sure what to do with it because it is rather dark. Well, maybe I should just give it another chance.
The highlighter in the middle is by Jouer and is called Citrine. This was my first ever product from Jouer and it honestly made me fall in love with the brand. I usually do like to go for rather natural highlights, but this is just amazing. It’s very intense and very pretty. Sadly I did accidentally break it a while ago. I did repress it but it does feel different know. I might just get a new one sometime soon.
Lastly we have the stunning Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelee. It’s a whole mouth full but it’s the most stunning product ever. The overspray is gone by now, which is sad, but it’s still absolutely stunning. This highlighter has a very wearable colour and creates the most gorgeous, natural glow on the cheeks. I love it lots!
Moving on to Nars. Nars is one of my favourite brands when it comes to highlighters. All though I only have two Nars highlighters in my highlighter collection. Anyway, I think that they just have the best formula ever and create the most stunning glow. The first one I own is from the Man Ray collection and it’s called the Nars Overexposed Glow Highlighter in Double Take. This is a very unique highlighter that creates more of like a see-through natural glow rather than a pigmented full on glow. I know that this doesn’t make any sense now, but you just have to experience it. It’s really, really pretty.
The other Nars highlighter I own is from the regular collection and it’s called Hot Sand. This one does look a lot like Double Take in terms of shade, but it does have a very different consistency and type of glow. It looks more like a regular highlighter instead of a glossy one. However, that doesn’t mean that this one is less pretty!
Next up are three Becca highlighters. I have to say that I don’t have any regular full size Becca highlighter in my highlighter collection, but I do have these three unique and pretty products. Most of which I got in a little set. The first one I have is a little highlighter in the shade Opal. This is one of their popular Shimmering Skin Perfectors and it is amazing. It is super, super intense and the shade suits my skintone so well!
The one next to that is the liquid version of the highlighter. It’s also in the shade Opal and just as pretty. I know that powder highlighters are the most popular type these days. But I love myself a good liquid highlight as well. This one is very pretty!
The last Becca highlighter I have is this Slimlight Stick in Champagne Pop. I once got this in a set from QVC and I have to admit that I don’t use it a lot. It’s not because of the consistency, because I do like all different types of consistencies in highlighter. I’m just not sure whether I like the shade all that much.
Benefit, Essence & The Body Shop
Moving on to my favourite stick highlighter in the entire world, the Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter. I got this because some Youtuber recommended it and I’m really happy about that. It’s such a natural looking highlighter and it’s very easy to use. The glow it gives is just stunning and it’s very easy to work with.
Next to that is one of the only budget proof highlighters in my collection, which is the Essence Hello Autumn Multi Colour Powder. This is from an old limited edition and even though I don’t really use it all that often. I just think that it’s very pretty and adorable looking. I love the little leaves on it and the different colours. It’s another eye-catcher in my highlighter collection.
The last highlighter I’m showing you today is this The Body Shop Shimmer Bauble. I’m sure it was from some kind of Christmas collection, but they do have something similar in their regular collection as well. It’s a really pretty ball filled with these highlighting beads. I did used to use this a lot back in the day, but recently I forgot about it a bit. I’m really excited to start using it again though!
With that being said I think I covered my entire highlighter collection. Of course I do have more than some of you might consider normal. However, compared to lots of big beauty influencers this is nothing. I just like to keep my highlighter collection nice and organised. In addition to that I’m also very picky when it comes to highlighter, thanks to which I don’t buy a lot of them.
Anyway, thank you guys so much for reading today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which highlighters are your ultimate favourites!
