Get Moisturised With The New The Body Shop Body Yogurts in British Rose & Almond Milk And Honey

06/09/2018

Ever since I read the first reviews about the new The Body Shop Body Yogurts I was dying to try some of them. Those who have been following me for longer might know that I’ve always been a huge fan of The Body Shop and especially their body butters have always been my favourites. However, this new kind of body product seemed rather interesting to me. Back in Warsaw I decided to purchase two scents from this Body Yogurt range for myself so I could finally give them a try. I have been using them non stop ever since I got them, so I think it’s about time for me to finally review these guys. So, if you’re interested in reading more about these body yogurts and finding out how I like them, make sure you continue reading this post!

Let’s start this post off by talking about the packagings of these two products. Both Body Yogurts come in these really pretty components. They are a lot more compact than their body butters, which I really like. This does mean that it comes with a bit less product, 200 ml instead of the standard 250 you get in their body butters, but since this is a very spreadable formula you don’t need a lot of product per application. So this jar will probably last you the same amount of time as the body butter.

Anyway, enough about the size, back to the design. I really like the way they shaped these jars. They are rounded at the bottom which I think is cute and I love how the bottom part is fully in the colour that resembles the scent of the product inside. For example, the British Rose one has a pink bottom part. I know they do this with all of their packagings, but I did think it was worth mentioning anyway, because I really like the look of that.

When you look at the jars from the top, you will see that they have an image on them that resembles the scent as well. The Almond Milk and Honey one has almonds on the lid, and the British Rose one has a really pretty, probably British, rose on the top. I like that!

Having discussed the packaging in excruciating detail, let’s move on to something far more important: what’s inside of the packaging. The product. When I first heard about the Body Yogurts I expected them to be like very lightweight, but still hydrating formulas. I did think they’d have a very creamy feel to them, but lighter than a regular body lotion. And I have to say, I was kind of right. I don’t know if you’ve ever eaten yogurt, but if you have, this is what it looks like in terms of texture. Literally that. That might sound like a ‘duhhh’ moment, like of course the Body Yogurts will have a yogurt texture, but well, I was surprised by it okay.

Scent wise I really love the Almond Milk & Honey scent. I’ve already tried the shower gel from this range, which is by far one of my favourite shower gels from the entire TBS collection. So me liking the scent wasn’t a big surprise to me. What I love about it is that it’s kind of sweet but also really nice and warm. It’s a very cozy scent that really gets me into that autumnal vibe, which is something I’m really into lately.

Overall I think that this is a really nice product. Because the formula is so thin it is very easy to work with. You just slap in on in a split second. It’s not difficult or time consuming to work it into the skin at all. And then it will sink into the skin so quickly, you’ll be able to put on clothes in just seconds after applying it. And at the same time it’s also very hydrating. My skin has been feeling so soft ever since I started using this.

Moving on to the other scent I bought, the British Rose scent. This is another one of my (and my mothers’) favourite scents from The Body Shop. It’s just a very rosy, perfumy scent. Compared to the Almond Milk And Honey scent this is way more artificial and more like a perfumed scent, but I don’t hate it be honest. It’s a different kind of thing, but both are really nice. By the way I’m not saying that the Almond Milk scent isn’t artificial, but it doesn’t smell as perfumy as the British Rose one does. I do feel like the amount of perfume in the British Rose version is a bit higher. But that also means that the scent does linger for longer.

When it comes to hydrating the skin I think both Body Yogurts do a really amazing job. If I have to be a nitpicker I would say that the Almond Milk version is slightly more hydrating than the British Rose one is, but both are just really great. They leave your skin feeling really soft and smooth and well hydrated. If you do have very, very dry and flaky skin I would recommend using a body butter over a body yogurt, just because those are even more hydrating. But if you’re skin is just doing fine, you’re good to go by using this product.

Overall I’m very pleasantly surprised by the Body Yogurts from The Body Shop. Obviously I’m a huge fan of TBS and I know that lots of their products are really amazing, but I didn’t expect them to be as good as they are right now. The scents are just incredible and I really am a huge fan of the textures of these products. They blend into the skin so quickly without any effort and they sink in very quickly as well. And to top that all off, they are also very hydrating and leave the skin feeling super soft. I highly recommend giving one of them a good ol’ try!

And that will be it for today’s post. I hope you guys enjoyed reading today’s review and be sure to let me know if you’ve given the TBS Yogurts a try just yet. And if so, how do you like them?
