About a week before I went to Warsaw I ordered a new lipgloss from the famous Youtube star Fleur De Force. I’ve been watching her videos for years now and I’ve always loved them. She’s such a nice person. When I saw that one of her lipglosses was on sale on Feelunique I decided to order it and after wearing it a couple of times I think I’m ready to review it for you guys. So, if you’re interested in finding out more about this lipgloss, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off by discussing the packaging, which is absolutely stunning. The lipgloss comes in a rather basic lipstick packaging. It’s just a straight tube. But what I like about it is the design. The tube matches the colour of the lipgloss and the lid is black. Aside from that the tube is decorated with Fleurs’ name and some stars. I really like the look of it and I do think it represents Fleur pretty well. I like it!
Most shades were already sold out by the time I got to ordering this lipgloss, so the only shade I could get was Starry Starry Night. It’s a pretty bright pink shade mixed with a red tone and a purply tone. Normally I’m all about wearing nude colours, but lately I have been quite interested in experimenting a bit with somewhat brighter shades so I was actually really glad that this colour was the only one they had left.

Before we move on to the quality, let’s first go into a little more depth regarding the shade. I was a little vague with my description, but that’s because I find it really hard to describe this colour. That because it’s a little different in every light. In some light it might look a lot more pink, in other light more red. But overall I would say it’s a bit of a berry tone but more on the pink side of the spectrum rather than the purple side.
With that being said I think it’s time to go into more depth about the quality of this lipgloss. Lipgloss isn’t the most popular type of lip product nowadays and I have to say I don’t wear it as much as I used to and might want to. Lipgloss usually is rather sticky, not very pigmented and it’s just a pain in the ass when you’re trying to do anything that involves your lips (talking, kissing, drinking, eating, etc.).
But this lipgloss actually beat my rather low expectations. First of all because of the pigmentation. I expected this lipgloss to be pretty sheer, but in fact it’s really pigmented. It’s not like a liquid lipstick, but it isn’t far from that either. It’s very opaque and if you want it to it can be fully pigmented in a way it looks like a glossy liquid lipstick.
Aside from this lipgloss being pretty pigmented, it’s also like a bit of a stain. I’m always afraid that, when I wear bright lip colours, they will fade in an ugly way, but since this stains your lips a little bit there’s no need to worry about that. The colour will stay as bright as it was when you first applied it and you don’t end up with just a line of bright pink around your lips. I think that’s a really big plus.
Having said that, I also think that the staying power is something to be impressed by. I applied this lipgloss around 12 o’ clock one day and when I came home around 8 or 9 o’ clock it was still there. Note that I didn’t reapply it during the day and I did eat, drink and talk A LOT! I basically did everything that would ruin your lip product, but instead of looking horrible this product stayed put all day. For a lipgloss that is something pretty dang impressive, isn’t it?
The texture of the gloss is really nice as well. It’s not as sticky as you might expect from a lipgloss. Of course it’s not the opposite of sticky, but especially after wearing it for a couple of hours most of the stickiness is just gone. You can barely feel it on your lips and that’s a really nice thing. Aside from that it’s also really nice and easy to apply. The applicator works just fine and only one coat is enough to get a proper amount of coverage. It doesn’t smear around too much, it doesn’t require too much precision to make it look good and it’s just a quick product to apply.
The only thing you do need to do when you wear this is either check your teeth frequently or put your finger in your mouth and pull it out again (sounds really weird but I’m sure you guys know what I mean with this) so there will be no pink on your teeth.
So, overall I’m pretty impressed by this lipgloss. I mean it’s very pigmented, it stains your lips, it stays in place literally all day and the texture is just really nice. It’s not super sticky, it’s not overly heavy and it’s a super easy product to apply. It’s basically a dream product if you ask me. It doesn’t do anything that might hold me back from wearing bright lip colours and I like that about it. If you ever manage to get your hands on one of these glosses I highly recommend you do so, because it’s just amazing!
And that’s basically it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and thank you so much for doing so. Also, be sure to let me know if you ever wear bright lip colours and if so, which one would you recommend to me?
