First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads

04/07/2017

Last Tuesday I reviewed one of the products that came inside this month’s LF Beauty Box and today I’m going to review another one. The one I’m reviewing today is the one I’m most excited about. When I saw that there was going to be something from First Aid Beauty in the box I was extremely excited. When I found out is was actually a full size product I was even more excited. I immediately went ahead and gave the product a try and today it’s time for the review. So, if you’re interested in finding out what these Facial Radiance Pads are like and if they work, make sure you continue reading!

Let’s start off by discussing the packaging. I mean doesn’t this look absolutely adorable to you. I really like the logo of First Aid Beauty and their designs are just to die for. They look so cool and old-school and I’ve always dreamed of having a product of theirs in my bathroom. Just minding its own business and shining from the back of my shower basket. Well, this isn’t necessarily something you should use underneath the shower, but it is shining and I love it. It’s seriously one of the prettiest skincare packagings ever.

But that’s that. It’s just packaging and packaging isn’t as important as the product itself. So let’s move on to the product. The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads are just 28 pads fully soaked in a fluid that’s supposed to be exfoliating, toning and brightening. The fluid in combination with the pattern on the pads is supposed to make your face look nice and radiant.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads – €14,95

On LookFantastic I found the following information about these Radiance Pads:

“Inspire a natural, healthy glow with the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. Combining the perfect amount of lactic and glycolic acids to make the pads safe for daily use, they work to improve skin’s clarity whilst visibly reducing the look of pores and diminishing the appearance of fine lines for a brighter, smoother, younger looking complexion.

Ideal for all skin types, even the most sensitive, its blend of cucumber and Indian gooseberry tone the skin, whilst lemon peel and liquorice root leave your complexion renewed, radiant and glowing. – K.N.”

All together it seems like these pads are loaded up with amazing skincare ingredients that, hopefully, are actually going to me a difference when it comes to making your skin look more radiant. But aside from making your skin appear more radiant they also claim to visibly reduce the look of pores and that’s something that caught my attention. I wasn’t sure whether or not to believe that, but I was excited to find out.

But before we jump into the actual product itself, I first quickly want to talk to you about the pads. The shape and the texture on the pads. Some cotton pads do have this kind of chequered pattern going on but once you put it to your skin you don’t really feel it. In this case you do. You can actually feel that texture and it does feel really nice. Because it’s super soft I can’t tell you whether it actually makes a difference or works exfoliating or anything like that, but I actually feel like it does. But even if it doesn’t make a difference at all I do really like the way it feels on my skin.

With that being said we can go back to discussing the product. These pads are really loaded with product. They’re not just a little bit wet. No, they’re soaked. Because of that one pad is more than enough for your entire face and maybe even two faces (but that’s a little unhygienic). Because it’s so wet a lot of product will actually transfer onto your skin which makes me feel like will have a bigger effect.

But have I noticed a big difference in my skin. Well I can’t say it’s like my skin went from break-out state to perfectly flawless and toned. But I don’t think any product can make a transformation like that happen on its own. What I did notice is that my skin feels a lot fresher and looks a lot more fresh now that I’ve been using these pads for a while. It feels like my skin is completely replenished and like it’s just good as new. I really like the way that looks.

When it comes to the pore refining thing I’ve got to be honest and say that I’m not sure whether that’s true or not. Even though I really want to tell you it works wonders, I’m not sure it does. Of course it’s hard to tell whether your pores are slightly smaller than they were before, but I haven’t noticed any huge difference. My pores haven’t gotten worse because of it, but better? I don’t know.

Despite the fact that I’m not completely sure whether or not this product actually is pore refining, I do really like it. Even if it’s just for the refreshing feel of it and the nice texture of the pads. I also really like how it actually makes my skin look refreshed and healthy. Overall I think they’re very nice. I don’t think they’re an essential, but they are great and I’m glad I have them!

And that concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know if you have ever tried anything by First Aid Beauty and if you did, let me know what you tried and how you liked it!

XOXO, Nicole.
