As some, or maybe even most, of you might know, I love shopping in Germany. I go there about 3 to 4 times a year and I let myself go and discover the best and greatest products ever. Because I love it so much and because I’ve found so many amazing hidden gems, I thought it might be fun to show you guys my favourite finds from the German drugstore. If you’re interested in finding out which products I’m talking about, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with the two most boring, but definitely amazing, products. These are two shower gels by the brand Isana, available at Rossmann, a German drugstore. These shower gels are extremely affordable, about €0,55 and in my opinion they’re one of the best.
The scents are incredible, especially these two, and the texture of the shower gel itself is really nice. It’s creamy, smooth, milky, caring and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry. I really like these shower gels a lot and I use them nearly every day.
My next favourite is the P2 Impressive Gel Kajal eye pencil. This pencil really impressed me. I wasn’t expecting too much from it since it costs less than 3 Euro’s, but the price tag really doesn’t say anything about the quality in this case. This is one of the best eye pencils I’ve ever tried. It’s very pigmented, creamy and it just doesn’t budge. How amazing is that!
Next up is a brush by the brand Ebelin. Ebelin is sold at DM Drogerie and it’s a budget proof brand that mainly focusses on creating beauty tools. I bought this brush because it looked quite good to me and I was interested in finding out whether or not such an affordable brush could be any good or not. Well, as you might have expected, it is definitely any good. It’s super soft, the hairs are nicely shaped and it’s an incredible brush to work with. Definitely a brush I’d recommend!
Next up are two products by P2. P2 is by far my favourite brand sold in Germany when it comes to makeup. I think their products are incredibly amazing and worth the try. My first P2 favourite is their Perfect Face All-Over Illuminator. This is a gorgeous everyday highlighter which adds a nice bit of glow. Not too much, but definitely not too little.
I also really like P2’s Perfect Face Refine + Prime All Over Loose Powder. I’m kinda obsessed with loose powder and I’ve tried many, but this one is definitely one of the best. It’s very fine and it does its job really well. It mattifies the face and fixates the makeup. It’s perfect.
My favourite P2 product out of everything has to be lipstick. The P2 lipsticks are just incredible. More than incredible even. Their lipsticks are super creamy, moisturising, pigmented and have such nice finishes to them. There really isn’t anything I love more than the P2 lipsticks. Okay I exaggerated a bit there, of course there’s something I love more, but let’s just roll with it okay?
I have about 4 to 6 P2 lipsticks at this point, which isn’t a lot, but that definitely doesn’t mean they aren’t incredible. I’ve tried pretty much every range they have when it comes to lipstick, from sheer, to pigmented, to shiny, and all of them are just amazing. If you ever find yourself at a store where they sell P2, get some lipsticks girl! You won’t regret it.
And the last two P2 products I love are these two nail polishes. Well I pretty much love all nail polishes from their Volume Gloss range, but these two are definitely my favourite. These polishes have a bit of a gel polish like finish, which I like a lot. I also really like the texture of these polishes and I like the fact that they dry really really quickly.
My last three favourites are all by the brand Alverde. This is my second favourite German brand. Alverde is sold at DM Drogerie only (but other German drugstores all have equivalents to it) and it’s amazing. It’s an all natural brand I believe and it has quite a few great products in its collection. For example their eyeshadow quad. It comes in a few colours, but this one with the rosy colours is by far my favourite. The colours are quite pigmented and really easy to work with. It’s a great budget proof eyeshadow palette.
The other two products are both blushes. The Alverde blushes are my all time favourite blushes. I really don’t like any other blush as much as these. They are pigmented, but not overly pigmented, the colours are really pretty and these blushes are quite long lasting. I love them!
And those were all of my German drugstore favourites. I hope you liked today’s post and be sure to let me know which German drugstore brands you like!
XOXO, Nicole.
