A few years ago blush was most peoples favourite beauty product. I personally didn’t care for it much, and I still don’t, but I do like using a pretty blush and therefore I’ve collected quite a few of them. Today I’m going to show you my all time favourite blushes. If you’re interested in finding out which blushes I’m talking about, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with my number one favourite blush. The Alverde blush powder in the shade Flamingo. This was, I believe, the first Alverde product I’ve ever tried, and I’ve been in love with the brand ever since. This blush is absolutely gorgeous. It’s a bit of a berry coloured powder with absolutely no shimmer to it.
Colours like this look absolutely stunning on pretty much everyone, whether you’re very pale or tinted, it doesn’t matter. This blush is suitable for all.
Onto my second favourite. A friend of mine recommended this to me. It’s the Hema Satin Blush Powder. The first thing I like about it is that there is quite a big variety of shades available, so there is something for everyone. I also really like how compact the packaging is. There is not a lot going on, it’s simple, it’s minimalistic. And even though I do like a bit of decoration here and there, I do really like this simplicity.
But back to the blush itself. This blush has a very nice satiny texture. It’s very smooth and silky and it isn’t blotchy at all. It’s also very pigmented and best of all: it stays in place all day. How impressive is that?
Onto the next blush, which is Flushed by Sleek. You can probably tell by now which blush colour I prefer wearing. Flushed by Sleek is a very, very pretty red colour with a bit of a pinky/purple undertone and absolutely no shimmer to it. It’s very wearable if you apply it using a light hand and it’s a colour that looks good on all skin colours.
Aside from that it’s also very pigmented and very long lasting. Overall I think that Sleek blushes are one of the best budget proof blushes available.
Then we have the E.L.F. Blush Palette in Dark. I got this for a review and ended up falling in love with it. This palette comes with four blush shades and a big ass mirror and it’s very light weight. All those things together make this the perfect travel palette.
Aside from the fact that this is a very travel-friendly palette, the blushes in it are also very good. They are pigmented, have a nice texture, they aren’t powdery and the colours itself are just very pretty. I really enjoy using this palette on a daily basis.
These next two blushes have been favourites of mine for a while now. These are the Maxfactor Crème Puff blushes in the shades Seductive Pink (left) and Gorgeous Berries (right). These blushes are very unique. They’re obviously baked, but they aren’t as hard and dry as other baked blushes, or just baked products in general, are, which make them very special.
The blushes are very soft and go on really smooth. They look very natural on the skin, but they do really add some colour to it. I really like using these!
My last favourite blush is a limited edition Kiko blush. I didn’t wanted to put it in here since you can’t buy it anymore, but since it’s one of my favourites and this post is about my favourite blushes, I did it anyway. This blush is from the summer collection of 2013 and is called the Sun Bronzing Blush in the colour Crystal Rose. It’s a gorgeous shimmery blush which adds both colour as well as a glow to your skin, and it comes in a gorgeous packaging. I love it!
That was it for today. Those were all of my all time favourite blushes. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know which blushes are your favourite!
XOXO, Nicole.
