For some reason I’ve always had a huge love for foundation. I can’t justify that with a story about having terrible skin and being insecure because of that because throughout my youth I had pretty okay skin. I had a few imperfections here and there but it wasn’t that bad. I just loved wearing foundation. And I still do. Because of that I did build quite a collection of foundation and today I’m going to show that to you. If you’re interested in finding out which foundations I own, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with the first actual foundation I ever used and loved, the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. One day I just gathered all of my money (I was like 12 at the time) and bought it. I didn’t know anything about it because I didn’t know about beauty blogs just yet, but I just went for it. Obviously the colour I bought was way too dark, but the foundation was amazing.
I’ve used that foundation for ages and I had repurchased it a million times. At this point I still have the old and original formula of the Healthy Mix Foundation, I have the renewed packaging and formula and I have the serum version. The serum version is my favourite one, but the other two are amazing either.
I don’t know in which order I bought the rest so everything from now on will be in random order. So, let’s move onto L’Oreal. I remember buying this for like 1 Euro because I had a gift card and there was some kind of sale going on and I was very excited about that. By the way I’m talking about the L’Oreal True Match foundation. This actually was the first foundation I ever bought that actually matched my skintone and therefore it was one of my favourites. I still really love the formula of this and I think it’s one of the best drugstore foundations ever. Because the old version I bought back in the day is empty I ended up repurchasing it, but they only had the renewed version which just doesn’t seem to match my skintone very well. I’m really not happy about that because I really love this foundation but I just can’t use it because of the colour.
Another L’Oreal foundation I own is the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation. I bought this in Londen about 2 years ago. I actually bought like two or three tubes of it because I though it was absolutely amazing and even though I don’t use it very often at the moment, I still think it is an amazing foundation.
Onto MaxFactor. A few years ago they launched their CC cream and I heard so many people rave about it. When I found out that the lightest shade was light enough for my skin I just went for it. I’ve used this foundation for ages. I actually went through two tubes and I still have 2 tubes halfway done laying around and I also have a few backups of it since I heard they were discontinuing it. It’s just a great product and I love that it’s light enough for my pale skin.
Another MaxFactor foundation that I own is the MaxFactor Miracle Match foundation. Sadly this isn’t a Miracle Match for me at all, it’s way, way, way too dark. But the texture and the formula of it are amazing. I really like the way this feels and looks on the skin, but because of the shade I can’t wear it.
Next up is a foundation I received for my blog. It was one of the first things I ever received for my blog and I was overly excited about that. It’s the E.L.F. Flawless Finish Foundation. I still think this is absolutely amazing but it’s almost empty and a bit too dark for me at the moment so I’m not using it a ton anymore. However I do think it’s one of the best budget proof foundations I own. I really like it.
Another budget proof foundation I really like is this Gosh X-Ceptional Wear foundation. I bought this because it came in a light enough shade for me and I was excited about that and I have to say it’s just great. It’s very light weight, it has a nice medium coverage to it and it just looks good on the skin.
Next up is the Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse Foundation. I bought this purely because I was interested in the texture. I didn’t end up using it a ton because it’s so heavy, but I don’t hate it at all. It’s a nice foundation but it’s definitely a foundation with a foundation feel to it and I don’t feel like that on a daily basis.
The next foundation I want to show you is by Elizabeth Arden. It’s her Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin foundation. I didn’t buy this too long ago but I just don’t like it. The texture is really, really weird and it just doesn’t look good on the skin. Nope, this is definitely a miss for me.
This next foundation was my first high-end foundation ever. It’s the MAC Mineralize Moisture foundation. It really opened up the world of expensive foundation for me and I’m really glad that it did. It showed me how much difference a more luxurious foundation can make and that’s definitely a great thing in my opinion.
This next foundation is probably the one I spent the most money on. It’s the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide. I bought this in Poland because I really wanted to try a Laura Mercier foundation and according to the sales lady this would be the best option for my skin. I don’t love it because it doesn’t have that much coverage to it, but it’s a great light weight natural looking foundation.
Next up are two of my Tarte foundations. The first Tarte foundation I got is the famous Amazonian Clay foundation. It has a bit of a similar texture as the Rimmel Stay Matte but it just looks a little better. This is by far one of my favourite foundations because of the coverage and the finish and I just love having it.
The other Tarte foundation I own is the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea foundation. I do love this a little less than the Amazonian Clay just because it’s a bit more difficult to use and because the coverage isn’t that great, but it’s a nice very light weight foundation.
I also have two Dior foundations in my collection. I have talked about them a million times before, but they’re just amazing. Especially the Diorskin Star Foundation is just incredible. It has a great texture and finish to it and it makes my skin look absolutely stunning. It’s my favourite.
The other Dior foundation, the Diorskin Forever Foundation is nice too, but the colour is a tad bit off which does kinda ruin things for me. It still has a nice texture but it’s just not as great as the Star.
Another favourite foundation of mine is the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation. It does have a very strong scent to it, but it looks amazing on the skin. It has great coverage, the colour is perfect and it just has a nice finish to it. It’s definitely one of my top favourite foundations.
Next up is the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation. I am obsessed with this. It’s nearly done so I really need to repurchase it, but it’s incredible. It has such a nice texture, it has amazing coverage and it makes my skin look so perfect. If I could only have one foundation, this would have a chance at being that one.
Moving on to the last foundation in my collection: the Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I bought this not too long ago because it was so hyped up. I still haven’t made up my mind whether or not I like it, but for now I can say I don’t love it. It’s not my favourite foundation in the world and I don’t fully get the hype, but it’s okay.
My newest foundation is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. I received it right about a week ago and so far this is literally the best foundation ever! I’m definitely going to review that soon!
And that’s everything for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which foundation is your favourite!
Dat is nog eens een collectie. Wow.
Dat is een indrukwekkende collectie zeg, wauw! Stiekem een beetje jaloers hier haha
Mooie collectie!
