Lately I’ve been quite a big fan of Essie nail polishes. They have such a wide selection of colours and the quality of their polishes is just amazing. A while ago I bought a new one, called Muchi, Muchi. I’ve been looking for a colour like this for ages, but I never managed to find the perfect one. Until now. Today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out more about this polish, make sure you keep on reading.
This Essie nail polish comes in the same packaging as all other Essie nail polishes. It’s square/rectangular shaped and has a white lid and white letters on it. I do really like the look of the packaging and I also really appreciate teh shape because storage wise it’s very convenient and efficient.
The Essie polishes are quite big, so I do think that they’re worth the money. The Essie polishes might be a little more expensive than other drugstore nail polishes, but the fact that you do get a lot of polish is one of the reasons why I do think it’s worth the money.
The colour I chose is called Muchi, Muchi. Muchi, Muchi is a very pretty pale pink colour. It’s almost like one of those fresh manicure colours. Because it’s like that I was a little scared it would be way too sheer, but because it’s Essie I decided to go for it anyway.
Muchi, Muchi has a normal shiny finish, just like most nail polishes. But by using a matte top coat you could turn it into a matte colour. I do think that that will look really good with this colour.
Coverage wise I’m not disappointed, but I’m not impressed either. Normally you need two coats, but this one does require 3 coats if you want it to cover as good as other polishes. After two coats it’s not too bad, but that third coat does really make it a lot prettier.
The staying power however is very impressive. Essie polishes in general stay in place quite well, but this one is even better than others. I’ve worn it for about a week and it still wasn’t showing any sign of chipping or fading. I’m really impressed by that.
Overall I’m really glad I decided to add this colour to my collection. It’s not like anything I already have and it’s just really, really pretty. The coverage isn’t as good as it normally is with Essie polishes, but on the bright side that does allow you to wear it in different ways: like a French manicure and just normally. All together I do think it’s worth the money! I really like it!
The Essie Nail Polishes are available at the drugstore for €9,99.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which Essie nail polish is your favourite!
