It has been quite a couple of years since I first heard about the brand Embryolisse. And let me tell you: the things I heard about it back then were all very, very positive. But because I was a lot younger and I didn’t have my oiliness under control I never even hesitated buying something as hydrating as this. Now, a few years later, I finally went out and bought it in an actual French pharmacy and today I am going to review it. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not this Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre is as amazing as people say it is, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s just start off by discussing the packaging like we always do, shall we? The Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre comes in a white box with the typical Embryolisse design on it. Inside that box you’ll find the product itself. It comes in one of those metal tubes and has a similar design on it as the box does. The tube is pretty large, it contains 75 ml of product, and feels quite heavy. Overall I’m quite a fan of the way it looks and feels. It look professional and serious and I like that about it.
With that being said, let’s start discussing this product. Everything it says on the packaging is in French so I can’t read that, but according to the internet this Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre is a cream that has calming effects and creates a satin layer on the skin which forms the perfect base for your makeup.

They also say that this is a cream that is used by makeup artists and dermatologists. It’s supposed to be filled with natural ingredients. It contains fatty acids, vitamins and other essential nutrients that help hydrate the skin and make your skin look beautiful again.
But that wasn’t it for the claims yet. They also say that the hydrolipid layer, the natural barrier against harmful substances, will effectively recover thanks to this cream. The skin will feel hydrated, smooth, soft and flexible.
All together this cream is supposed to do a lot. A lot of good things. Of course I’m not in a position where I can actually measure whether my skins’ hydrolipid layer has recovered or whether or not my skin is move flexible, but I can talk about what I experienced. So that’s what I’m going to do.
This creme is quite thick and heavy. It looks a little like a medical cream to me. But even though it’s rather thick and heavy, it doesn’t feel like that on the skin at all. It’s also very easy to blend into the skin which is something you wouldn’t necessarily expect from a thick cream like this one. The product also doesn’t leave my skin feeling over-hydrated or greasy. Instead it makes my skin feel well-hydrated and soft. It’s a really nice feeling and a feeling I don’t get too often.
Even though I can’t prove that this product works scientifically, I can tell you that I’m convinced it does. Because I do have rather oily skin I prefer using it at night. If I do so and I wake up in the morning my skin feels so incredible. It’s unlike anything I have ever felt. It really feels like my skin has completely reborn. It’s as soft and satiny as it has even been and it’s incredible. I’m so, so, so impressed.
When it comes to creating a perfect base for my makeup I think this product does do a great job. Like I said it makes my skin feel really soft, smooth and almost satin-like and therefore my foundation goes on like a dream. It’s just like I’ve primed my skin with an actual primer, but instead it’s a creme. How nice is that?!
All together I can say there is not a single claim about this product that isn’t true. It’s actually as amazing as Embryolisse claims it is and even though I knew it would be great, I didn’t know it would end up being this great. It’s one of the most hydrating, softening, smoothing and most perfecting products I have ever tried and I love it.
So, is it worth the hype? Does it live up to my expectations? All of that can be answered with: YES! It does. It does live up to my expectations and it even exceeds them, just like it exceeds the hype. It’s seriously the best skincare product in the world and therefore I think everyone should consider giving it a try!
And that basically concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know if you have ever heard or even tried Embryolisse before and if so, let me know what you think of it!
XOXO, Nicole.
Een vriendin van mij is professioneel make up artist en zij zweert hier ook bij. Ik weet ‘t na al die jaren nog steeds niet eigenlijk, dat ‘ie zo heavy voelt blijf ik gewoon niet fijn vinden 😉
Klinkt goed!
