Recently I bought an eyeshadow palette I’ve been eying for a very long time already. The Dior Eye Reviver Eyeshadow Palette. It’s one of those perfect basic eye palettes that you just need to have in your collection. I do really love Dior eyeshadow and even though I already have enough staple eyeshadows, I just thought this would be a great addition to my stash. I bought it and I’ve been creating looks with it ever since. In today’s post I’m finally going to review it. So, if you’re interested in finding out what this stunning Dior Eye Reviver Eyeshadow Palette is like, make sure you continue reading this post!
The Dior Eye Reviver Eyeshadow Palette comes in one of those soft sachets that protects it. The palette itself does have a bit of a different look than most Dior eyeshadow palettes. Instead of navy it’s silver and super, super shiny. It’s like the lid of the compact is a big mirror. The bottom part of the compact is made out of clear plastic. This doesn’t create the most luxurious look of all, but somehow I do still think that it’s very, very pretty and chic looking. Especially the silver lid really speaks to me.
When you open up the palette you will find a big mirror on the inside of the lid. This makes this palette handy for on the go but also for more close-up detail work at home. It also comes with a little dual-ended brush. On one side is a brush with hairs that has a bit of a slanted look and on the other side you get a famous sponge tip applicator. Both sides are decent if you really need it. However, if you’re going to splurge on a palette like this, please invest in a couple of good brushes as well.

The Eye Reviver Palette is part of their backstage pro’s collection. This means that this palette is filled with the essentials for the perfect everyday eye look. Keeping that in mind while looking at the shades inside this palette I think they have done a very good job at that. In this palette you get a little bit of everything you might need for the perfect eye look. You get a matte brow bone highlight, a matte transition shade, two more shimmery shades perfect for all over the lid, a deep brown matte shade to darken up the crease and a black gel liner. It’s literally everything you need.
Now you might think that this does look pretty basic and can’t lead to crazy amazing looks, but that’s where you are totally wrong. This palette is actually very versatile. Of course you can keep it light and simple by just using the three lighter shades in the palette. However, you can also opt for the darkest shadows in the palette and go smokey with those. It’s totally up to you and what you prefer. But it is very, very versatile.
According to Dior this palette has the shadows that will make your eyes look bigger and that will ‘structure’ your eyes. This should create a very lively look. That does sound pretty vague and all, but I do get what they’re trying to say.
Looking at the quality of the eyeshadows I’m definitely not disappointed. This is exactly what I expected a palette from Dior to look like and that’s always a hit for me. The shadows have this very silky and creamy texture. They glide onto the lid (and arm in case of swatching). They are very rich and full of pigment. And the best thing of all is that they disperse very evenly.
Something I like about these shadows as well is that they are incredibly easy to work with. They don’t go on the eyes way too intense. They actually make it very easy for you to create that perfectly blended and smooth look. Talking about the blending, with these shadows blending takes not more than just a split second. It’s crazy but somehow it already blends itself when you’re applying the shadows to the eyes. Especially when you apply for example your transition shade with a fluffy brush. You really don’t even have to get back into it to blend it. Amazing!
When everything is applied and blended I do think that the look looks very put together and elegant. And that without it costing any effort whatsoever. I really think that (almost) everybody can create a really pretty eye look with this palette.
All in all I’m a big fan of the Dior Eye Reviver Eyeshadow Palette. I think that it isn’t a surprise to you that I was going to be a fan of it, but Dior really didn’t give me a reason not to love this palette. The shadows in here are very usable and great basics to have in your collection. The quality of them is even more amazing and they are also a dream to work with. I really think this is an essential in any makeup collection!
With that being said I think it’s time to end today’s post. Thank you so much for reading and be sure to let me know what you think of this palette and which palette is your everyday essential!
