My lovely best friend recently got me this gorgeous Clinique High Impact Lip Colour. From the moment I saw it I fell in love. For years I’ve been wanting to try out a Clinique lipstick and she just gave me one in this gorgeous colour called RSVPink. Today I’m going to be reviewing it. If you’re interested in finding out more about this lipstick, make sure you keep on reading!
The Clinique High Impact Lip Colour comes in a very pretty packaging. The box is completely Clinique proof, it’s white and has green leaves all over it and it has Clinique written on it in shiny silver letters. When you open up the box you’ll find the lipstick itself.
The lipstick itself comes in an even prettier packaging. It’s completely silver and has this really pretty design going on. It looks very luxurious and really, really pretty. I like it a lot!
The colour my best friend bought for me is called RSVPink. RSVPink is a gorgeous shiny pink colour with a bit of a brown undertone to it. I think this colour is very unique and special, and surprisingly enough, I don’t have anything like it in my collection. Considering the fact I have over 50 lipsticks in my collection, that’s quite impressive in my opinion.
The Clinique High Impact Lip Colour, or at least the one I have is semi-sheer. It’s not a full on sheer lipstick, but it’s definitely not a thick creamy lipstick. I personally really like that. I think sheer lipsticks are much more comfortable to wear and I just like the look and finish of it. This is one is exactly like I just described, to me it’s the perfect lipstick.
As you can tell this lipstick has a bit of a shiny finish to it. It might seem like it as an awful blue kind of shimmer to it on the swatch, but that’s not true. The shiny part you see is the reflection of my studio light, it has nothing to do with the lipstick itself. The lipstick itself actually doesn’t have any shimmer to it.
The staying power of this lipstick is decent. You do have to keep in mind that this is a glossy semi-sheer lipstick, those don’t stay in place forever. This one doesn’t either, but it does stay put for about 3 to 4 hours, which is quite okay for a lipstick like this one.
Overall this lipstick definitely didn’t disappoint me. If anything it actually surprised me. The colour is beyond beautiful and the texture is lovely. I also really like the packaging it comes in and the fact that it stays put for quite some time. Overall I highly recommend this lipstick, it’s definitely worth the try!
The Clinique High Impact Lipstick is available online and at stores like Ici Paris XL and Douglas for €24,-.
That was it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know if you have ever tried a Clinique lipstick, and if so let me know how you liked it!
