Cheek Favourites: Bronzer, Blush & Highlight

17/02/2017

For the longest time I didn’t really care much for cheek products. I did wear bronzer, blush and highlighter everyday, but I just didn’t care that much. Lately I’ve been starting to fall more and more in love with cheek makeup and therefore I thought it might be fun to share some of my cheek favourites with you guys. So, if you’re interested in finding out which cheek products I absolutely love, make sure you continue reading!

Let’s start off with bronzer/sculpting powder. I have two favourites. My first favourite is this sculpting powder from Inglot. I bought it back in the summer because I was on the hunt for the perfect sculpting powder that wasn’t going to be too dark or too warm, and this is just perfect. It’s very natural, it isn’t warm toned or orange at all and it’s just absolutely perfect for sculpting the cheeks. I love, love, love it!

My other bronzer favourite is the Benefit Hoola bronzer. This has been a cult favourite for years, but it wasn’t until this summer that I actually decided to give it a try. And I’m so glad I did. This is just absolutely incredible. You do need to be careful with it if you’re as pale as I am, but if you are, it’s just stunning!

This next favourite is actually a little cheek palette by Stila. It’s from their holiday collection of 2015. At the time I did like it but I wasn’t too head over heals with it. Recently I rediscovered it. Even though the blush looks quite extreme, it’s one of the prettiest blushes I own and it’s actually really wearable.

The bronzer is pretty much perfect too. It’s not too grey but it’s not orange either. It’s the perfect tone for me. Lastly is the highlighter. Oh my, that highlighter! I have definitely under-appreciated that one for a while. It’s just absolutely stunning. It’s better than most of my other highlighters! It’s just stunning!

Next up are quite a few blushes. Even though I have never been that into cheek products and therefore I have never been that much of a blush person, I do have quite a lot of blush favourites. I just really enjoy buying blushes, especially when it comes to more luxury brands. Anyway, back to the blushes.

My first blush favourite is this really pretty Pixi blush in the shade Rosy Rouge. This is a very pretty and wearable blush. I love wearing this on days where I just want something simple on my cheeks. It’s very pigmented and has great staying power and overall it’s just one of the best blushes ever.

Another blush I love dearly is the Becca blush in Damselfly. I have forgotten about this one for a while, but now that I’ve rediscovered it I’m really in love with it again. It’s a very pretty pinky peach colour with a nice shimmer to it. It’s again pretty wearable but perfect for creating a bit of a natural and healthy flush on the cheeks.

These next four favourites probably aren’t very surprising for most of you guys. I actually don’t think any of the products shown come as a big surprise since I have talked about all of them like a million times! Anyway, these are the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes in Pop, Vibrant, Royal and Genius.

These are some of the prettiest, easiest to work with and overal just the nicest blushes ever. Because of their size they’re perfect for on the go. The colours are very versatile and overall just very pretty and the pigmentation is great. I love them!

Next up are three more blushes. The last three.  Let’s start off with the one on the top left corner. It’s the Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick in Pink. This is such a gorgeous piece of makeup, I love it so much. I just love how simple but stunning it is. I love its uniqueness. It just looks stunning on the cheeks and it’s also a perfect blush to combine with other blushes if you just can’t choose.

Next up is my beloved Dior Splendor blush. The main chunks of glitter have already faded, but it’s still gorgeous. This is just the perfect shade of blush for me. It’s wearable, it’s unique and it makes my cheeks look stunning. I love, love, love, love, love, love this!

The last blush I wanted to show you guys is the Nars blush in Isadora. It’s from the Sarah Moon collection. It’s a very pigmented blush and if you over apply you can end up looking like you have a rash on your cheeks. But if you apply this with a light hand it will look absolutely stunning!

Onto the highlighter portion of this post. My first highlighter favourite is the Becca highlighter in Opal. I have a little mini size of it and I love it. It’s one of my more intense highlighters and that’s exactly what makes it so special. I also really like the colour. It’s a very nice, not too dark, champagne shade. I really love that when it comes to highlighter.

The next two highlighter favourites are both by MAC. The one on the left is the famous MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle and the other one is from the Naturally collection and is called Blonde. I love both a lot because they create a gorgeous glow, but they aren’t too overwhelming.

But that wasn’t it yet for highlighter. I have two more favourites. First of all the Dior Nude Air Luminizer. This is just the best product in this entire world and I love it so much. If I could only have one highlighter it would, without a doubt, definitely be this one. It’s just the most perfect tone for highlighting the face and the intensity is perfect. It’s just pure love in a pan!

The last favourite is by Bobbi Brown. It’s their Shimmer Brick in Bronze. At first I wasn’t quite sure whether or not this would be a hit because colour wise it isn’t your traditional highlighter. But I have to say it looks stunning. It’s a very versatile and multifunctional product and on the cheeks it just looks good. I really like it!

And that concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which products you love wearing on your cheeks!

XOXO, Nicole.
