It has been over a year since I got the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation. At the time I really loved my Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation and I was interested in trying some more of the Chanel foundations. I ended up buying the Les Beiges Healthy Glow foundation because it looked like exactly what I was looking for. I have been using it for over a year now, but somehow I never got around to reviewing it. Today I do have the opportunity to review it so that’s what I’ll be doing. So, if you’re interested in finding out what the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation is like and whether or not it’s worth spending your money on, make sure you continue reading!
First things first, let’s talk about the packaging. It’s a little dirty, I know, I’m sorry for that! Anyway, like most of us probably know Chanel usually comes with these amazing, classic looking packagings. This one definitely isn’t an exception to that rule. The foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle with a black pump and a black lid. On top of the you can see the Chanel logo in white. The rest of the text on the bottle is printed in black as well.
The bottle has a bit of a rectangular/square shape and I like that. It’s a little different from what most foundation bottles look like nowadays and I can appreciate that uniqueness. I also really like the fact that it comes with a pump. Even though it’s really, flipping dirty. The pump works really nice and it allows you to decide how much product you want to get out of it. I really like working with it.

Moving on to the shade. They shade I got is called N12 Rose. This is their second lightest shade. I got this one because at the time I couldn’t find shade N10 online, so this was the next best option. Generally speaking I do think that the shade range in which this foundation comes is a little bit minimal. It does come in a deeper shade but there isn’t much variation in the deep-range. It’s definitely not a very inclusive shade range and for a brand like Chanel I do think that’s pretty shameful.
However, for me, and therefore probably also some other pale-skinned girls, the foundation does come in a shade that is pale enough. This shade actually matches my skintone pretty well and that’s not something I experience very often. I’m really happy about that!
With that being said, let’s start talking about the claims! According to Chanel this is an invisible foundation that creates a natural healthy glow by giving the skin the radiance of a day spent outdoors, while protecting it from harsh environmental conditions. The bottle is supposed to be travel-friendly and the foundation is supposed to be easy to apply, even with your finger tips. The foundation will give you the perfection of a natural glow.
The foundation is supposed to have a soft and comfortable texture that glides over the skin and melts away. It adapts to the shape of the face and invisibility follows its every movement. The texture is supposed to become imperceptible and allows the skin to breathe freely. It evens-out the complexion and has a sheer finish. As if revived, it displays the freshness and radiance of beautiful skin in the great outdoors.
Overall it seems like the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation is going to be one of those perfect foundations for everyday for people who don’t need much coverage. It seems like it’s going to look and feel natural and therefore be very comfortable to wear. I have to admit that back in the day I would’ve never gone for a more sheer finish foundation, but nowadays I’m all about that natural look so I couldn’t wait to find out what it is going to be like on my skin.
So, let’s start talking about that shall we? The first thing I want to talk about is the texture of the foundation. Because it’s such a healthy glow and natural foundation I didn’t expect a very thick foundation. And it turns out I’m quite right about that. It’s the not the typical watery/runny texture, it does have some sort of creamy feel to it, but it’s definitely not a thick foundation. Because of that it feels very weightless on the skin and to me that is a very comfortable feeling. I really like the way it feels throughout the day.
Because of this nice and natural texture the foundation doesn’t look heavy on the skin at all. Back in the day I didn’t mind a bit of a cakey look but nowadays I really don’t like that at all. This foundation, luckily, has a really pretty natural finish to it. It isn’t a super glowy foundation at all, but it does show your natural glow thanks to which it looks very natural on the face.
Coverage wise I don’t even think it’s that bad at all. Chanel says that it’s a sheer finish foundation but I think it is a little more than that. It definitely does a really good job at evening out my complexion and it covers up most of my imperfections. There is definitely need for a touch of concealer underneath my eyes and on the chin-area, but aside from that this foundation really does cover up a lot. I’m very impressed by that. The thing I’m most impressed with is how natural it does that. It evens out your skin really well without looking fake. And that’s exactly the look I’m always looking for!
In terms of application I think this is a really amazing foundation. The formula is made in a way it applies very smoothly. The product just glides over the skin and it actually really melts into the skin. That’s a really nice feeling and I also think it looks really good. Because it applies so easily, it’s definitely a foundation that doesn’t need much attention while applying it. It just goes on and you don’t have to worry about being very careful in order to prevent patches. This foundation hardly ever causes patches. The only way it could be is if you apply a big dot on an area without blending it, but that’s only a logical thing to happen in such cases.
When it comes to staying power this foundation is a big win as well. It just stays in place all day. It doesn’t get excessively greasy, it doesn’t transfer onto anything else and it doesn’t move. It’s just a very solid product.
Overall I’m a big fan of the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation. It really is everything I was ever looking for in a bottle and that makes me very exciting. I really enjoy the texture of this foundation, I’m glad that the shade matches me so well and I think that the amount of coverage it provides is just perfect. Yup, this is definitely one of my favourites!
With that being said it’s time to end today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of this foundation and if you’ve ever tried a Chanel foundation yourself!
