Back in Lille I came across these really pretty looking shower gels by the brand Caudalie. Caudalie is quite a well-known and well-loved brand, which is why these shower gels attracted my attention. I decided to give them a good sniff and after that I was sold. I ended up buying two different scents and today it’s finally time for me to review them. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not these shower gels are as amazing as they look, make sure you continue reading!
Let’s start off with discussing the lighter one. This one is called Rose De Vigne and, like the name already suggests, smells like roses. The scent is quite perfumy, but I personally do like that. That however is a reason to stay away from it if you do struggle with sensitive skin, but since I don not, I really enjoy the way it smells.
But even more important, well, equally as important as the scent, is the way this works. Like it says on the front this shower gel is supposed to be non-irritating, soap-free, paraben free and perfect for sensitive and delicate skin. I just mentioned that I wouldn’t recommend this if you do have sensitive skin because of the perfume in it so I’m not completely sure whether I should agree with their claim, but I do think it’s nice that there is non of that junk in this shower gel.
On the skin this shower gel does feel really nice. It’s very soft and smooth and it makes me feel clean without making my skin feel extremely dry. The thing I did notice about it is that since it’s soap-free it doesn’t get that foamy which makes me feel like I need to use way more product. But aside from that minor point, this shower gel works really, really amazing.

Moving on to the other shower gel I bought. This one is called Thé De Vignes. Since my French isn’t that good (okay I’m not sugarcoating it, it’s bad), I had no idea what that meant and what it was going to smell like. After googling I found out Thé means tea. Now that I know that it seems very obvious, but like I said, my French is bad. Anyway, the fact that we now figured out it’s supposed to smell like tea doesn’t make things more clear for me. Luckily the back of the tube tells us a little more about the scent. It says that this shower gel smells like jasmin, ginger and orange blossom. And I have to say I do recognize those scents in this shower gel.
Just like the Rose version, the shower gel is quite perfumy. However, this one is slightly more fragrant and strongly perfumed than the other one is. Because of that the scent does linger which is a big plus to me. But it does make it unavailable for certain people.
Quality wise this shower gel is pretty much the same as the other one. It’s soft, it’s smooth and it makes me feel clean and fresh without drying out my skin. It’s also not very soapy or foamy, but in the end it’s a great product and I have really been enjoying it.
Caudalie Thé De Vignes – €10,95
Overall I’m really impressed by these shower gels. I knew Caudalie was a great brand, but since I have never tried any of their products before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. These shower gels are absolutely amazing and I’m really glad I decided to buy them. Both of them smell incredibly good and I really enjoy the fact that the scent really lingers. I also like that it doesn’t dry out my skin but does make me feel clean. The only downside is that it’s not something I’d recommend for sensitive skin, but aside from that I’m absolutely loving these two!
And that’s it for today’s review. I really hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of these gorgeous shower gels!
XOXO, Nicole.
