Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while might know that I’m not such a huge fan of budget proof eyeshadows. I just don’t like the quality of most of them. One of the only exceptions to that is the Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow collection. I loved that collection ever since the first time I tried it. Today I’m going to review another eyeshadow from that range. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not this eyeshadow is just as amazing as the other ones I’ve tried, keep on reading!
First things first, the packaging. The Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadows come in a square shaped packaging made out of plastic. The bottom part is black and the lid is clear. It’s pretty much the same as the packaging of the regular Catrice eyeshadows, but these are partially black and the regular shadows come in an entirely clear packaging. I do like this packaging better than the regular ones, but I’m not in love with it. For a budget brand I’d say, not bad, but in general, I think it’s just okay, but nothing more than that.
The thing I like so much about the Catrice Liquid Metal eyeshadows is the pattern on it. Doesn’t it look absolutely stunning. I really like the satin sheen over it and the wavy effect. It really reminds me of my bed sheets, which are very loved. I think the pattern really adds something to the overall look of these shadows and I love that.
There is quite a wide colour selection in this Liquid Metal range by Catrice. Aside from the one I’m reviewing today I have two more shades in my collection, those are called Gold ‘n Roses and Gold Leaf Me. Both of them are really pretty and pigmented, so when I saw this one, called Satina Van Der Woodsen (notice the Gossip Girl reference), I knew I just had to have it.
Satina Van Der Woodsen is a very pretty champgne gold colour. For me this is the perfect eyelid colour. I use colours like this all over my lid on a daily basis. I really love the look of that. It really brightens the eye area, makes you look more fresh and awake and I really love and need that.
Pigmentation wise this eyeshadow is more than okay. The colour pay off is actually very impressive. I also really like how shimmery it is. I’m personally really into shimmery eyeshadows, so this is really my cup of tea. It’s a very easy shadow to work with. It blends really easily, but not in a way you blend it away too easy and it doesn’t take a million layers in order to get it to look intense enough.
If you use a cream eyeshadow underneath this eyeshadow, this eyeshadow will stay in place all day without losing any of its intensity. I really like that about that and I really think that that is quite impressive for such an affordable eyeshadow.
Overall I’m really glad I bought this eyeshadow. I’m in love with the colour, I think it’s absolutely stunning and the quality is just really amazing. I think that when it comes to drugstore eyeshadows, this range by Catrice is one of the best you can get. I highly recommend giving this range a try!
The Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadows are available at the drugstore for €3,99.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which budget proof eyeshadows are your favourites!
Ik vind ‘m zo mooi he!!
Cute!
