Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer

21/10/2015

Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer Tube

Concealer is one of the most important steps in my makeup routine. I always have very bad dark circles, whether I’ve had a good night sleep or not, they’ll always be there. Therefore a good under eye concealer is a must for me. The past few years I have been in love with the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, which I still am, but I just felt like trying something new. That something new ended up being the new Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer. Today I’m going to be reviewing it. If you’re interested, keep on reading!

Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer

The concealer comes in a pretty typical concealer packaging. It’s just like most other liquid concealers and lipglosses. I do really like the way it looks though. I feel like Catrice did pretty well when it comes to giving their packagings a professional and good look. Even though I like somewhat more exciting packagings too, this ain’t bad at all. The tube is pretty long and contains 5,0 ml, which is just average.

The first thing about this concealer that stood out to me is the fact that it claims to be waterproof. A waterproof concealer, that’s pretty amazing, but I wasn’t too convinced that it was actually true. Besides the waterproof claim Catrice also promises that this concealer has high coverage, that it’s ultra long lasting and that it’s perfect for camouflaging under-eye circles, spots and even tattoo’s. That’s quite a big thing to promise!

Let’s start off with the waterproof part. I can already tell you that’s not completely true. It’s not like you can put this on, go swimming and still have this on your face afterwards. That’s not what this is like. However, it does survive a bit of rain, tears and sweat and in general it stays in place pretty well. But waterproof is just not the right word for it, that’s all.

When it comes to the high coverage part I have mixed feelings. Yes, the coverage is pretty impressive compared to all other drugstore concealers I have ever tried, but I feel like high coverage is something different. I would say it’s more like medium to high coverage.

Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer Swatch

As you can tell the coverage is pretty impressive. I had a stain from something I swatched on my hand and this concealer covered it pretty well. That’s definitely impressive. The reason why I still don’t think it’s full coverage is because it just doesn’t completely cover up my dark circles. I know that it’s a lot to ask from a concealer to cover up those bad boys completely, but since this concealer claims to be capable of concealing tattoo’s, I feel like the fact that it doesn’t even fully cover up my dark circles is quite a disappointment.

Something I do really like about this concealer is the scent. It smells kind of perfume like. On one hand I really like that about it, but on the other hand it could suggest that there is quite a bit of perfume in this concealer, which is pretty bad for your skin, especially for your delicate under eye area.

Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer Packaging

But all together this concealer didn’t let me down at all. Of course it’s not waterproof and not high coverage, but I do think it’s a very good product. The coverage is impressive, even though it’s not as amazing as they claimed it to be and I really like that it’s such a thin and easily blendable product. When it comes to drugstore concealers I definitely think this one is one of the best ones out there. I like it!

The Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer is available at the drugstore for €3,59.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which drugstore concealer you love using!

My favorite concealer is not drugstore per se’ it’s actually the younique liquid concealer, and it hands down covers everything, and I sell Younique so it works out even better for me! 🙂 I do know alot of people like a product called glamoflauge (I might be spelling it wrong) which is available at wal mart so I don’t believe the price point is too high. I have not tried Catrice, I’ll have to check it out! Great post 🙂

Is it better than the Fit Me concealer?

I wouldn’t know because I have never tried the Fit Me concealer, but I do prefer it to the Maybelline The Eraser concealer.

Really? I really like the Fit Me, everyone compares it to the Nars Creamy Concealer on youtube. I’ve never tried that one.

Lijkt me een goede budget concealer.
