Back in February when my mom, my best friend and I went on another shopping trip to Germany I came across this really nice gift set that included the Cacharel Amor Amor perfume and a body lotion. Amor Amor was one of the first real perfumes (with that I mean the first proper perfume) I’ve ever smelled and I loved it ever since. Today I’m going to review it. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not I’m still as in love with it as I used to be, make sure you keep on reading!
The two Amor Amor products, the perfume and the body lotion, come in this really big and pretty looking box, since it’s a gift set. I don’t really get why it’s sooo big since these two products are pretty tiny and they were the only two things chilling in there, so there was no need for such a big space.
However, I do really like the way the box looks. I think it’s really pretty and I think it looks very girly which I like. It’s definitely a really nice gift set to give to someone or to give to yourself!
Let’s start off with discussing the most boring product, the body lotion. I usually don’t really like perfumed body lotions because they’re (surprise, surprise) full of perfume which is very drying and because I think it’s a bit of an overkill to have that much of the same scent on your body. It usually gives me headaches.
But I have to say, I do kind of like this one. It’s not a body lotion I’d use every single day, since it still is a perfumed body lotion and therefore a kinda drying one, but I do enjoy using it from time to time. The scent is definitely there, but it’s not too strong so it doesn’t give me headaches which is very nice.
Onto the perfume itself. The perfume comes in a shiny silver box with red details. The box is, in my opinion, really pretty and classy looking. It’s not too luxury looking in a way it’s just plain boring, but it does have a bit of class to it. I really like it.
The bottle in which the perfume comes is also really pretty. The bottle is made out of red glass and has Amor Amor and Cacharel written on it in white. The spray part of the bottle is made out of silver metal. I really like the vibe this bottle has to it. The only thing I don’t like about it is the fact that it doesn’t have a lid. But aside from that, great packaging!
The scent itself is also really, really great. Amor Amor is a very unique scent. It does have something floral to it, but just a little bit. To me this perfume is very feminine and sensual. It’s definitely perfect scent to wear when you’re going on a date or for those days when you want to feel just a tad bit extra sexy and feminine.
Something I think is very important when it comes to perfumes is how long they last. If it doesn’t last long, it’s not a perfume I’m going to be wearing a lot. The lasting time of this perfume is decent. It’s not as strong as La Vie Est Belle or Chloé, but it’s definitely stronger than more low budget scents.
Overall I’m really glad I finally bought myself the Amor Amor perfume. I absolutely love the scent and I have been wearing it quite a lot lately. I think it’s a very feminine scent and I think it’s a scent lots of people will like. I also really like how the body lotion does add a nice bit of scent to your body, but not too much. All together this gift set is perfect!
Amor Amor by Cacharel is available at beauty stores for €41,60 (30 ml).
That was it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know which perfumes you really like!
