Brand Focus: The Magical Brand Rituals!

30/11/2018

So far I’ve actually done quite a lot of brand focus posts in my blogging history. These are posts in which I talk about my collection, my favourites and my not so much favourites from a certain brand. But so far all of my brand focus posts have been about makeup brands and makeup products. Recently, when I totally re-discovered Rituals, I decided it might be fun to do a brand focus on them. So, in today’s post I’m going to talk about my favourites from Rituals, the things I don’t like from Rituals and all that fun stuff. If you’re interested in reading about all that, make sure you continue reading this post!

Okay lets start off by talking about my collection. Rituals focusses mainly at body care but they do also have some beauty stuff, tea and actually they also do clothing and candles. My collection however mainly consists out of the body care part from the Rituals collection. At this moment I have all the shower oils from the permanent collection and a limited edition one. I also have about 10 body creams, some shower foams and I actually recently purchased a sunscreen for the face from Rituals. I also got a candle from Rituals from my best friend recently and I have a mini of their fragrance sticks and a mini perfume. All in all my Rituals collection is pretty big, but the main items are body creams and shower foams.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention that I also have a couple of Rituals hand creams and a few pillow & body mists. A while ago I was really into pillow sprays and I heard that Rituals had some too. I bought them and I do regularly use them because they make my bed smell very nice. However, I don’t think they do much when it comes to getting you sleepy or making you sleep more deeply.

Having discussed my collection briefly, let’s start talking about the things I like about or from Rituals. My first thing is that you should really focus on those limited edition collection. They do a couple of different limited collections throughout the year and in my opinion these are always the best. They are just that little bit more special and they look even prettier than the rest in terms of packaging. My favourite collections are always the holiday collections. I for example loved the one from last year, with the Ritual Of Light Body Cream. It’s such a wintery scent. I’m really sad I almost used up the entire tub!

I also really do like the Ritual of Karma range. I don’t know what’s up with this range though. It used to be limited edition but I believe it’s now in their permanent collection. The face sunscreens are also from the Karma range now. Anyhow, nothing bad about that. It’s always nice if you can get these products at all times. Especially since I do think that these tubs of body cream don’t last you forever. Recently I was looking through my body cream collection with my mom and we realised that actually most of my body creams are pretty far down. And I’m very sparingly with them. So that is something to keep in mind.

Now most of the things I’ve mentioned are already about the body creams. That is because they are just the best. To be honest, if you’re going to Rituals for the very first time I do think that you should get a body cream. I mean those foams they are cute, you know. But the body creams are phenomenal. I think that they have a very unique texture. They are very soft and comfortable on the skin. They almost feel whipped. They actually are very moisturising and the scent has just the right intensity. These are really worth the money!

I’m also a huge fan of the shower oils from Rituals. Like I mentioned just a second ago I have collected all of the shower oils that are in their permanent collection and I have one limited edition one. That is because these are the best things ever. Back in the day I didn’t know about these and I just used the shower foams. I’m coming back to that topic later, but I’m not crazy about shower foams. So, when I discovered their shower oils I was so happy. It’s literally what I was looking for. Something to shower with that wasn’t a foam. And that in a lovely Rituals scent. They are also very gentle on the skin. They feel hydrating and they do cleanse the body really well. I also really like that the scent is very pure and nice and intense. These are really my favourites!

Like I said I’m not crazy about the shower foams. I know that their shower foams are really popular and I’m definitely not going to bash on them. But I just think that they aren’t the best. They are fun, that for sure. It’s something different and the very first time I used them I liked that about them. However, I feel like the scent of these shower foams is a little less intense or pure than they are in the shower oil. Somehow you can always smell the scent of the foam itself through it. And I don’t like that. I like the scent of the perfume in it, not the foam.

Aside from that I also think that they don’t last long at all. Every time I use them it leaks foam afterwards which is just a waste. And somehow I always end up using quite a lot because it’s really hard to decide how much you already have in your loofah because when it comes out it’s still a gel. Of course that’s partly my own fault, but I just don’t like these foams enough to forgive them. I definitely don’t hate them and I like using them when I have them, but I would prefer getting the shower oil if I got the chance.

I also mentioned something about fragrance sticks and scented candles. Recently I’ve been using the fragrance sticks from the Precious Amber collection and I like them. I definitely do. I think it smells really nice and it does smell nice and intense for a long enough period of time. However, I do think that especially those from the more luxe collection are super, super expensive. I mean I think a full-size bottle costs over 40 Euro’s. Having your house smell nice is great but I wouldn’t spend 40 bucks on that. That’s crazy!

The scented candle I haven’t used since my fragrance sticks are still going strong. Therefore I can’t tell you whether or not it’s worth the money. However, my friend, who gave me the candle, did tell me about her experience with it. According to her these candles are amazing. She says that they last incredibly long and that the scent is really nice and intense. I’m really excited to give it a try. If it really lasts as long as she claims it does I do think that it’s worth spending on. They aren’t crazy expensive and the Rituals scents are really nice.

All in all I do have a very good association with Rituals. It’s one of the only stores from which I love all of their scents. There literally isn’t anything they ever create that stinks in my opinion and that’s pretty impressive. I also really love their vibe and the quality of their products. I just think it’s a really nice store that is worth spending on. The products are perfect for pampering yourself and they do what they should. The only product type I’m not super crazy about is the shower foam but that isn’t a Rituals thing. I don’t like shower foams an awful lot in general. Aside from that I think everything is pretty much amazing and definitely worth checking out!

Well, I guess that’s pretty much it for today. Thank you so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what you think of Rituals and what your favourites and hate-its are!
