Today it’s time for the second post in Brand Focus week. Today I’m going to focus on a brand probably every single one of you knows: Maybelline. Maybelline is one of those brands everybody owns, it’s just like Ikea furniture, everybody has at least something of it. Even though it’s such a basic brand, it’s still a very nice brand in my opinion, which is why I’m going to talk about it today. If you’re interested in reading more, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with face products. I’ve got lots of different face products by Maybelline: primer, concealer, powder, blush and even an eyebrow pencil/powder. The only thing I haven’t tried so far is Maybelline foundation. I really want to give their foundations a try though, because I think they’re quite good, but because I’m super, super fair, most of their foundations are way too dark for me so I don’t know if it will ever happen.
When it comes to concealer Maybelline is the bomb. Their concealers are incredible. The ones I’m currently using are the Maybelline Fit Me concealer and the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer. Both of them are slightly too dark for me, so I use them in combination with a lighter concealer, but they do work really well for me.
Their blushes are also amazing, especially the Jelly Glow blush. I haven’t reviewed it yet, but I’m planning on doing so very soon after theme month. It’s just stunning!
When it comes to eyes I’m in love with the Maybelline Color Tattoo’s. I have been in love with them since day one and I still use them almost every single day. I have quite a lot of shades, but there’s only one I’m like really in love with. That one is On and On Bronze. I actually finished one whole jar of it and the one I’m currently using is near its end too.
These Color Tattoo’s are so amazing because they’re super, super intense and they stay in place all day. Literally all day. I also really like how they intensify your eyeshadow look when you use them as a base and I like that they’re also perfect for a quick everyday look using just one product.
Something I’m not a huge fan of is the Maybelline The Nudes palette. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a terrible product. But it’s definitely not as good as my more expensive palettes, which is why I just don’t gravitate towards it anymore. It’s great for people who’re into budget makeup, but if you’re already used to more expensive makeup, save your money and leave this palette where you found it.
I feel like Maybelline’s most popular product is definitely mascara. My first mascara ever was actually one by Maybelline. At this point I’ve tried almost every single one of their mascara’s, and I liked most of them a lot. My current favourites are the Go Extreme mascara and The Rocket.
Lastly we have lips. Maybelline is queen when it comes to lip products, especially lip balms. Ever since I tried my first Baby Lips, I’ve been obsessed with them. They look so cute and colourful and they feel so good on the lips. I have quite a big collection of them and whenever they launch a new one, it’ll grow. I just can’t help it.
And that concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which Maybelline products you like the most!
XOXO, Nicole.
Hier nog een fan! Love those Baby Lips lipbalms! 🙂
