Today it’s the first day of Brand Focus week on Nicolished, and I though it’d be fun to kick it off with a brand I’ve loved for years: L’Oreal. For those of you who don’t know, in a brand focus post I discuss which products I like, which products I don’t like and which products from that one specific brand I would like to have. If you’re interested in finding that out, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with some L’Oreal face makeup products. I have tried two (well technically three) L’Oreal foundations. The one shown on the picture, the Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation, which is one of my favourite foundations at the moment and two True Match foundations, the old version and the new version.
Overall I think the L’Oreal foundations are pretty good. It’s actually one of my favourite brands when it comes to foundations!
Aside from foundation I two other face products by L’Oreal: the blush shown on the picture and a bronzer. Both products work really nicely and are definitely worth the try. They aren’t insanely amazing, so don’t expect to be ‘wow’-ed by them, but I do enjoy using them.
When it comes to eye products I’m relatively positive. I haven’t tried too many L’Oreal eye products to be honest, but most things I did try were great. The only exception is their eyeshadow palette. I don’t know what it is about it, but I just don’t like it. Some colours are quite good, but I just don’t think it’s worth the money and I’m sure L’Oreal can do better.
Two eye products by L’Oreal I do like are the Infallible Eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige and the Volume Million Lashes Mascara. Both products are just so nice to work with and are quality wise really, really amazing. I absolutely love using both of them.
My very favourite product type when it comes to L’Oreal is by far lipstick. In particular the Rouge Caresse range. From the day I saw the commercial about it on TV ’till now I’ve been in love with these lipsticks. The texture is absolutely incredible, they add a nice touch of colour to the lips, not too little, but not too much either and thye are so insanely comfortable to wear, it’s insane.
I’ve also tried a lipstick from their regular range, which is absolutely amazing as well. I like the Rouge Caresse lipsticks a teeny tiny bit more, but it’s only a small difference.
After reading all that you might know that I haven’t actually tried that many L’Oreal products, which is quite a shame for a beauty lover like me. Therefore I decided to create this wishlist with a few L’Oreal products I definitely want to give a try sometime soon.
First off all I want to try a lipstick from the Collection Exclusive collection. I tried one from my best friend and I absolutely loved it, so I really want to have one myself too. I also want to try another lipstick from the Rouge Caresse range as well as the Lumi Magic concealer.
Lastly I want to try another blush in a very pretty rosy pink colour and one of their mono eyeshadows. I think this particular one looks absolutely stunning.
And that concludes my first Brand Focus post of the week. I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know which L’Oreal products you’d recommend!
XOXO, Nicole.
L’oreal is nog best wel een fijn merk, vooral de foundations inderdaad! De lipsticks vind ik ook best wel mooi voor een drogisterij merk 🙂

The Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation is zeer geliefd idd. Ik wil hem ook graag gebruiken, maar ik denk niet dat het geschikt is. Ik heb een droge huid. The Rouge Caresse range die zijn mooi.
