Bornprettystore Lipsticks

06/01/2016

BPS Lipsticks Packaging

2015 was definitely the year of the lipsticks for me. Before I didn’t care about them at all, but that really changed in 2015, and I’m pretty sure it will stay the way it is now throughout 2016 as well. Therefore it’s time for another lipstick review. This time I’m going to be reviewing two lipsticks I got from Bornprettystore. If you’re interested in reading more about them, keep on reading!

2x BPS Lipstick

The lipsticks come in a shimmery pink packaging with gold detailing. They are quite wide which is kind of inconvenient storage wise. The packagings don’t feel very sturdy or luxurious, but also no specifically cheap or anything like that. Overall I’m neutral about the packaging. I don’t love it, it’s not the prettiest lipstick I have ever seen and I’m not a fan of the fact that they are so wide, but it’s not bad either.

There are a total of 9 different colours available. I chose number 6 and number 8. One of which is a very pretty red and the other one is raspberry, which is a bit more neutral and more wearable than the other colour.

BPS Lpstick Red

Let’s start off with discussing the red colour, number 8. Number 8 is a very pretty classic red, but it’s not basic. Even though red is just red, it still has something special to it. I can’t really put my finger on what it is, but I do really like it. I think it’s very pretty and I think it’s perfect to glam up your entire makeup look or just to add that extra little finishing touch.

Quality wise it’s really nice as well. It’s very smooth and easy to apply. It’s not really that creamy, more balmy, which is something I like about it. Aside from that I think it’s a very comfortable lipstick to wear which is a very important thing to me.

BPS Lipstick Raspberry

The other colour I got, number 6, is a bit more neutral. This is a bit of a raspberry pink shade. It’s still not the most neutral and wearable lipstick in the world, but it definitely is a colour I would wear on a daily basis, or at least to school or work for example.

Quality wise this one is just as great as the other one. It’s smooth, it glides on really nicely and it’s not creamy but balmy. Another thing I really like about it is that it’s very easy to work with. It’s easy to apply. I usually struggle quite a lot with applying brighter lipsticks neatly, especially red lipsticks, but these lipsticks are just so easy. I didn’t struggle with them at all. I didn’t even need a lip liner or lip brush!

BPS Lipsticks Lip Swatches

Pigmentation wise these two lipsticks aren’t bad either. They aren’t the most intense lipsticks in the world, mainly because they are balmy instead of creamy. But to be honest, considering the fact these lipsticks cost only $2 each, it’s not bad at all. It’s actually pretty impressive.

The staying power is decent. It’s not bad, but it’s definitely not the best. They stay in place for about 2 to 3 hours, depending on how much you eat, drink, talk, kiss, etc.

BPS Lipstikcss

Overall I think these two lipsticks are pretty great, especially considering the price. They feel really nice on the lips, they are super easy to work with and the pigmentation is pretty great. If you’re looking for something long lasting, this might not be what you’re looking for, but aside from that, I’m quite impressed by these lipsticks!

The Bornprettystore lipsticks are available at their site for $1,99 each (Use the code NMEH10 to get 10% off the entire site).

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know how you like these two colours?

I used to be the same way, I never really used lipsticks till mid 2015 and now I can’t get enough of them! I definitely want to try these out besides the really cute packaging, they look like they work well. Thanks for the review!
