For the longest time I have been wanting to try out one of the The Body Shop Body Sorbets. They came out quite a while ago and ever since then they have been on my wishlist. The reason why I didn’t buy one sooner? I have no idea. The great thing is that I have one now and I’m going to review it today. If you’re interested in finding out more about it, make sure you continue reading!
The The Body Shop body sorbets come in pretty big tubes that contains 200 ml of product. The tube is pretty basic and totally fits the new TBS style. I have to say really like it. I like how simplistic it is and how classy and I enjoy the way it looks in my collection.
The body sorbets come in quite a few different scents. I ended up going for one in the scent mango because mango is and will always be my favourite fruit ever and therefore I love having body products that smell like that. I also really adore the TBS mango body butter, so this really seemed like the perfect fit for me!
The mango body sorbet does smell a bit different than the body butter from the same range does. This one is a bit lighter, scent wise, and it’s not as milky and creamy as the body butter is. Which one I prefer? Probably the body butter. However, I do really enjoy the smell of this one too!
The thing that makes this product so unique is that it’s a body sorbet. It’s a very unique concept that we haven’t seen too often in beauty world. For those of you who have no idea what to picture when talking about a body sorbet: it’s a more light weight product that moisturises the body in a very light and airy way. It has a very refreshing texture and feel to it and therefore it’s perfect for those summery days. I know it’s almost winter at the moment, and you could definitely use it during the winter, but I do think that it’s even better when you use it during the summer.
Quality wise I think this body sorbet is pretty amazing. I’ve been using it almost every single day since I got it and I can’t get enough of it. It’s very lightweight on the skin and even though I don’t hate somewhat thicker and heavier body moisturisers during the winter time, I can always appreciate a more lightweight formula.
Thanks to this lightweight formula the product sinks into the skin pretty quickly and it also doesn’t leave an oily layer. Because it all seems so lightweight and fresh (texture wise), it might seem like this product isn’t moisturising at all. But that’s the thing: it actually is. It’s obviously not as moisturising as the mango body butter, which is one of TBS’s most moisturising body care products, but it’s definitely moisturising my skin enough to not make it feel patchy even when it’s very cold outside.
Overall I’m a huge fan of this body sorbet. I really like the concept of it, I like the way they designed the packaging and I really like the way this product feels on my skin. It’s one of my current favourite body care products and I highly recommend giving this a go!
The The Body Shop Mango Body Sorbet is available online and in stores for €11,-.
That was it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know if you have any experience with these body sorbets and if so, let me know how you like them!
