For the past year or so I’ve been a huge fan of the TBS Camomile Cleansing Oil. It does an amazing job at removing all of your makeup, even the waterproof stuff, and it leaves your skin feeling super soft and silky. The downside to that product was that it wasn’t easy for on the go because it always leaked and I always ended up with oil stains on my clothing. Therefore I decided to buy the butter version. If you’re interested in finding out if it’s just as great as the oil, make sure you keep on reading!
The Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter comes in this relatively large tin. I think it looks really good. It might be a little simple and kind of old fashioned, but that’s what I like about it. It looks like you bought it from some sort of nature friendly store (if that makes any sense) and I really like that.
The tin contains 90 ml which is less than the oil version. The oil contains 200 ml and is 1 Euro cheaper. That is something I think you should keep in mind. If you plan on using this at home only I think you’re better off just getting the oil because it’s a way, way, way better deal and the product itself isn’t that different.
On the back of the tin it says something about the product. It says that it’s supposed to melt away any makeup and impurities and even waterproof makeup. Those promises aren’t too mind blowing or exciting or anything, but that definitely doesn’t mean it’s a bad product.
In my opinion this product is basically the same thing as the oil. The only difference is that this is solid and the oil obviously isn’t. This might sound really dumb because maybe it actually is the exact same thing but in solid phase instead of liquid, but I’m not a 100% sure about that.
The consistency of the product is quite nice. It’s a combination between a butter and a fat. Fat might sound dirty but fat is basically solid oil so it’s really not that bad. When you touch the substance for a few seconds it will start to melt, which is what makes it an easy product to work with.
I always use this product because I hop into the shower when I’m wearing lots of makeup. What I do is I put a bit of it in my hand. Then I will put it all over my face and massage it in, concentrating on the eye area. And when that’s done I just rinse it off and all of my makeup is gone.
A very important thing that you do have to keep in mind is that it works a million times better when your face is dry. So don’t use it underneath the shower (unless you make sure your face doesn’t get wet before using it) and don’t wet your face before using it if you use it at the sink like I do.
When it comes to the quality I’m impressed. This butter definitely does a great job at removing makeup, even waterproof makeup. A little bit of it is enough to remove everything. And I’m talking full face of makeup here.
The thing I like the most about it is that it’s very gentle. It’s not harsh, it’s not aggressive, it’s very gentle and soft. It makes your skin feel soft and moisturised but not oily. So even if you do have oily skin like I do, it’s still a product you might like!
Overall I think that this is a great product. It’s easy to work with, it’s easier for on the go than the oil is and it really does work like a charm. If you’re someone who likes wearing lots of makeup and struggles with removing all of it at the end of the day this is a great option for you. It’s also perfect for those of you who have more sensitive skin because it’s such a gentle product. I personally really like it and therefore I highly recommend it!
The TBS Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter is available in stores and online for €14,-.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know which cleansing product you love the most!
XOXO, Nicole.

Fijne review!

Dit lijkt mij wel wat! Al vind ik 14 euro wel duur. Maar als je lang mee kunt…!
