Black Friday Haul: A Lot Of Beautyblenders, My First Colourpop Order(s) & MORE!

09/12/2018

The 23th of November is was Black Friday again. The ultimate day for anyone who loves to shop or wants to get their gifts for the holidays in on time. Like every year I do enjoy getting some shopping done on Black Friday. Both for myself and for my friends and family. This year I bought a lot of fun goodies as well that I wanted to share with you guys. Obviously I’m not going to share the things I bought for my friends and family since I don’t want them to see it before they get it, but I can share what I got myself. So, if you’re interested in reading about that, make sure you continue reading this post!

Beautybay

My first stop was Beautybay. I have to admit that this was actually a bit of a pre-black Friday shopping thingy. They always have a 30% off everything in the week leading up to Black Friday. After that sale period everything interesting is out of stock so I decided not to wait until Black Friday actually came around and actually order what I wanted to have right away. The biggest part of the order contains products from Beautyblender, but I also got some other goodies. Let’s start with the other thingies.

First of all I got myself a new Zoeva brush. This is the Zoeva 237 Detail Shader Brush. I really like the Zoeva eyeshadow brushes and this is something I don’t already have. It looked really good to me and  it looked like something I could actually use in my daily routine so that’s why I got it.

I also got a new RCMA No-Colour Powder. This is my absolute favourite and go-to powder. It’s actually rather affordable and you get like 80 grams of powder. This tub lasts me forever and I love that about it. Compared to regular powders this is an insane amount of product. This powder also has no colour (hence the name) and is therefore perfect for everyday wear and for anyone. It keeps me matte all day long and it keeps my makeup in place. This is already my third tub so I think that does show pretty well how much I love it.

The last non-Beautyblender thing I got is a cult favourite product. Or well, an old cult favourite. Back in the day, when I just got into makeup, everyone loved the Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder. It was supposed to be the perfect shade to contour with. I never got around purchasing it back then, but now I finally did. I’m sooooo excited about this! It’s like a teenage dream come true.

Zoeva 237 Detail Shader Brush €6,65 – RCMA No-Colour Powder €10,67 – Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder €19,60

Moving on to the actual Beautyblender part of my order. As you guys probably know by now I’m a huge fan of the Beautyblender. I’ve been loving it since like 2015/2016 and I still do. However, they are rather pricy in the Netherlands, so I like to stock up when they’re on sale. I actually came to realise that on Beautybay they’re regularly only €12, which is super cheap compared to the €20 you pay for it here. But now that they were on sale they were even more affordable. I ended up buying four Beautyblender. Two regular pink ones, one in the shade ‘Chill’ and one Beautyblender Bubble, which is baby pink.

Along with that I also got myself a set of the Beautyblender Micro Mini Bubble. These are tiny little Beautyblenders that are made for precision tasks like applying makeup underneath your eyes. Or well, blending makeup underneath your eyes. These cost €20 where I live, and without sale they were just €12 on Beautybay.

Aside from actual Beautyblenders I also got some cleaning material. I got the Beautyblender Keep.It.Clean, which is a kind of tool to help you deep cleanse your blenders. It comes with a mini of the solid and liquid cleanser. It seemed like a really handy tool to me. Especially since I really struggle getting my blenders clean.

The last item I got is the Beautyblender Solid Cleanser. I now use some rip-off brand cleanser and I’m not loving that at all. I did use it up and now it was finally time for a new one. Just like the other Beautyblender stuffs, it was way more affordable on Beautybay than it is in local stores where I live, so I got a pretty sweet deal on it all!

Beautyblenders €8,40 each – Beautyblender Micro Mini Bubble €6 – Beautyblender Keep.It.Clean €8,40 – Beautyblender Solid Cleanser €7,70

Colourpop

Moving on to the next stop, which is Colourpop. Who would have ever thought that I would ever order something from Colourpop? I’ve been wanting to do that for so long now but I just really didn’t want to pay a million Euro’s for shipping and import costs. However, in honour of Black Friday Colourpop offered 24 hours of free world wide shipping. This meant that I could finally go for it! And I did.

The first things I bought are these Super Shock Shadows. I know that they do amazing palettes these days, but back in the day I dreamed of having some of these Super Shock Shadows, which is why I opted for those. I decided to buy four shades from the permanent collection that I thought would look really good together. The first one being So Quiche. Followed by I Heart This, Pretty Lucky and lastly Bill. All of them are really, really pretty and I can’t wait to give them a try. I’m sooooo excited about these you guys!

I also bought a shadow from the limited edition Disney collection. I just couldn’t resist! This shade is called So This Is Love and it’s another shimmery lid-colour. I think the packaging on this one is even more adorable!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadows – $5 (approx. €4,40)

Aside from eyeshadow I also indulged on some face and lip products. I first of all got the Lippie Stix in the shade Aquarius. These Lippie Stix are another one of the things that I was dying to get my hands on back when Colourpop was new and very hyped up. I know they do normal lipsticks now as well, but I’m super excited to give this one a try.

The day after the big deal there was a 30% off all lip products deal going on and the free shipping deal was extended. Because of that I ended up also buying one of their Lux Lipsticks in the shade Layover. It was terribly difficult to decide whether or not that was going to be a shade for me, but well, we’ll find out soon.

Then moving on to the face makeup products. First of all I got the Colourpop No Filter Matte Concealer in the shade 02 Fair. I’m a sucker for concealers and I was really curious about this one. It’s so affordable but it comes in so many shades and it’s so well-rated on lots of blogs. I’m really curious to see what this is like.

The last product I ordered is one of their Super Shock Cheek Highlighters in the shade Flexitarian. At first I didn’t really want to buy any of their highlighters, but after thinking about it for a couple of hours I decided that I did. This was my one chance to buy some Colourpop goodies so I figured I better go wild. This shade seemed to be great for pale skin so I’m really interested in giving that a try!

Colourpop Lippie Stix $5,50/€4,80) – No Filter Matte Concealer $6/€5,30 – Super Shock Highlighter $8/€7

Lookfantastic

Moving on to one of my all time favourite webshops: Lookfantastic. One thing I ordered from here wasn’t actually a Black Friday deal. However, I recently read that MAC apparently revamped their brush collection about a year ago and made them all synthetic. Now that isn’t necessarily a problem to me, but I heard that the quality is way less impressive now. On Lookfantastic I saw that they still had the MAC 109 Small Contour Brush from their old collection and since I really wanted to have the proper quality one I decided to immediately buy it. When it arrived it turned out that they didn’t have the old brush anymore and I actually received a synthetic one. Obviously that’s not that bad, but the thing is that it was on sale somewhere else for a way better deal. So if I would’ve known, I wouldn’t have purchased it. Because of that I contacted costumer service and they actually gave me a full refund and I got to keep the brush!

Also on Lookfantastic I got another MAC brush. This is the 239S Eye Shader Brush. I always feel like I don’t have enough shader brushes and this one seems really, really perfect to me. I like that it has white hairs, I always feel like that works better for me. I know that’s probably just placebo, but well, it works. And I thought it had a nice shape. I’m really excited about giving this brush a try as well.

MAC 109S Small Contour Brush €34,95 – MAC 239S Eye Shader Brush €23,45

The next item I got on Lookfantastic is this Urban Decay Afterglow 8-hour Powder Highlighter in the shade Sin. They had a 40% off Urban Decay deal going on making this €10 cheaper than it used to be and I’ve always wanted to try one of the Urban Decay highlighters. Sin is by far my favourite shade out of all of the products they have so it was an obvious choice to go for that one.

The last two things I got from Lookfantastic are from Nars. Every year on Black Friday I repurchase my favourite Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, so that’s what I did this year as well. Along with that I also got myself a stunning new primer from Nars. The Pore & Shine Control Primer. I was very curious about it so I thought why not give it a try?

Urban Decay 8-Hour Highlight Powder €14,95 – Nars Concealer €22,84 – Nars Primer €24,34

Feelunique

My next stop was Feelunique. Around Black Friday Feelunique always has these amazing ‘timed beauty deals’. This means that for a limited amount of time they have a crazy deal on a couple of products. This year there weren’t a ton of things that really, really caught my attention. However one thing did. The Living Proof Style Lab Blowout. This is a spray that offers heat protecting as well as a more professional looking blowout. It also makes the blowout more longlasting and makes it easier to model your hair.

I do blow dry my hair very, very often and it always takes way too long. I do really love the results, but because my hair is very fine it always goes back to it’s usual, straight form. Therefore I really wanted to try this spray and see if that could help it. I really hope it does you guys. It does look pretty dang amazing and I did get a sweet deal on it. I got 30% off. It’s not an awful lot but I thought it was a pretty okay deal!

Living Proof Style Lab Blowout 148ml – £16 (approx. €17,94)

Because Feelunique only offers free shipping from €40 and up I decided to order two more things in order to qualify for that free shipping. I mean I ain’t gonna pay 4 pounds shipping if I only get 6 pounds of discount. I ended up ordering a new hair brush. The Tangle Teezer The Ultimate Professional. I saw this on sale at Ici Paris throughout the Black Friday week as well but it was a couple of pennies cheaper on Feelunique and I needed an order filler, which is why I got it there. This seems to be a really nice brush and so far I’ve never tried a Tangle Teezer, so I’m excited about it.

the last thing I got from Feelunique is this Lancome Juicy Shaker in the shade Freedom Of Peach. I really didn’t know a lot about these Juicy Shakers from Lancome aside from the fact that they looked really cute. However, when I looked up reviews about it, it looked really, really pretty. I was blown away and decided that this was going to be the last thing to fill up this order and qualify for free shipping. I also got a really sweet deal on it, it was discounted from £20 down to £12!

Tangle Teezer The Ultimate Professional £12 (approx. €13,50) – Lancome Juicy Shader £12 (approx. €13,50)

Hudsons Bay

A store that also kind of surprised me was Hudsons Bay. They had a 25% all MAC products going on and I was eyeing another few brushes. This resulted in me finally getting one of them. I actually wanted to buy more, but when they arrived to my house I wasn’t so sure about the quality of them and the shape. The only brush I ended up keeping is the MAC 188 Small Duo Fibre Face Brush. I had been eyeing this brush ever since I saw someone use it on youtube for bronzer. It looked like the perfect brush for that purpose so I obviously had to have it.

In real life it does look very, very petite, but maybe it just needs a proper wash in order to get a bit more fluffy. Anyway, I just can’t wait to give this brush a try and see how it works for me. I’ve never had such a size of duo fibre brush so it might surprise me.

MAC 188 Duo Fibre Face Brush – €28,12

Estee Lauder

Estée Lauder also had some Black Friday deals going on. They had big discounts on selected products. I have to say that the selection of products didn’t seem all that interesting to me but there was one product that I did want to purchase. It’s the Estée Lauder Genuine Glow Eyelighter in the shade Gleam Glow. I had never heard of this product before but I do love myself a good liquid highlighter, so I thought why not give this one a try?

It was discounted to just €7 and I had a 15% coupon code thanks to which I only paid €5,95 for this entire product. That makes it even more exciting, doesn’t it? I really can’t wait to give this puppy a go. It looks really pretty.

Oh and by the way, this order also came with two luxe samples. I got a mini Estée Lauder Mascara and a mini of their eye concentrate thingy. Even though that’s not what the order is all about, I am very excited to give those two things a try as well. I’m quite a fan of the Estée Lauder mascara’s.

Estée Lauder Genuine Glow Eyelighter in Gleam Glow – €5,95

Ici Paris XL

The next stop was Ici Paris XL. Ici Paris is one of my favourite stores to shop at for beauty products. Not because the people there are so friendly, but because they always have these amazing deals going on. I did hold back quite a bit at Ici Paris and ended up only buying two things that have been on my wishlist for a while. The first one is the Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Night. I’ve been meaning to try this for a while now and since my regular night cream is gone I felt like this was a proper reason to buy a new one and give this a try.

The other item I bought is actually a repurchase of my favourite Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in Rose. They renamed it and called it the S.O.S. Primer or something like that, but I’m pretty sure it’s just the same thing. My tube has been almost empty for a while now and since I love this stuff so much I thought it was okay to buy a new one. I’m sure I’m going to use this till the last drop as well!

Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Night €31,79 – Clarins S.O.S. Primer €22,19

Douglas & Bijenkorf

Okay you guys, we’re almost there. The second last thing I bought is this pink eye brush set from Zoeva. I have been wanting to get a couple duplicates of my favourite Zoeva brushes for a while now and I figured buying an entire set might be a lot cheaper. This set comes with 12 brushes with stunning pink handles and lots of the brushes in this set are brushes I wanted to buy anyway. I think they look so cute in my collection!

And that brings us to the very last item that I bought. At Bijenkorf they still had the entire Erdem collection from Nars and I’ve been loving the look of the eyeshadow palette from that collection for more than just a couple of weeks now. So when I saw it had 20% off I thought why not? This is my chance. I’m not going to shop for myself the rest of the year so I might as well treat myself with a last splurge. I’m really excited to give this palette a whirl!

Zoeva Pink Elements Complete Eye Set €56,25 – Nars x Erdem Eyeshadow Palette €31,20

And that concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading about everything I got for Black Friday and be sure to let me know if you also got yourself some sweet bargains!

I was so close to getting the RCMA powder in the Beauty Bay sale but talked myself out of it because it takes me forever to finish a loose powder! I did get an Ofra palette I’d had my eyes on though 🙂
