Moisturizing your skin is one of the most important steps in basically everybodys (makeup) routine. Finding one that perfectly suits your skin is therefore an important thing to do. Throughout the years I have tried many, many different ones, and this one by Biodermal is one of them. If you’re interested in finding out whether it was a hit or not, keep on reading!
The moisturizer comes in this relatively big white bottle. The bottle contains 50 ml of product, which is quite a lot, and comes with a pump. I like that a lot. I love products with pumps because it’s way more hygienic and it looks a little bit more fancy. When it comes to the over all look of the packaging, you could say it’s boring. It kind of is, but in a way I think it represents the product itself.
The thing that makes this particular moisturizer special is that it doesn’t have any kind of perfume or alcohol in it and that it is hypoallergenic. This makes this moisturizer perfect for anyone, whether you just don’t like alcohol in your moisturizer or struggle with senstive skin. This moisturizer is perfect either way. I like that about it.
The down side to it is that it smells really bad. It’s not a reason to hate it, but it is not the most appealing scent for something you’re supposed to put on your face.
On the back of the bottle is a little extra information about the product. It says the following:
“Oily & comination skin gelcream hydrates and mattifies the skin. The gelcream has a lightweight texture and leaves you with clear and matte skin.”
Well, well, well Biodermal. That’s a big promise. I’ve tried millions of moisturizers that claimed they would mattify your skin and it has never worked. Not even once. I was curious if this one was different, but it’s not. The quality is fine, nothing wrong with that, but when it comes to mattifying your skin, it’s not a winner.
When it comes to the lightweight texture I have to say they did a good job. I think anyone with oily skin just loves these kinds of lightweight thin textured moisturizers, so when it comes to that this moisturizer is amazing. It’s easy to blend into the skin and it sinks into the skin really quickly. I love how everything gets absorbed and you won’t be left with that annoying oily layer.
Over all I think the Biodermal Oily to Combination skin moisturizer is definitely a nice product. The texture is really lightweight and it doesn’t contain alcohol or perfume which is great. The only thing it doesn’t do is mattify your skin. So if that’s what you’re looking for, this is not what you’re looking for.
I hope you all enjoyed reading this review, and let me know which moisturizer is your absolute fave!
