I don’t even know how it happened, but somehow I forgot to do a September favourites post this month. Normally I’d do it much sooner, but well, I think it’s just that I’ve been so busy I kind of forgot about it. Even though the past couple of weeks have been incredibly busy, I have been shopping a lot and therefore I have been trying a lot of new products lately. In today’s post I’m going to share with you guys which products I have been loving throughout the month of September. So, if you’re interested in finding out what makes my heart beat faster in the makeup world, make sure you continue reading this post!
Let’s start off with a skincare favourite. This is definitely not a new product in my collection and it’s not like I stopped using it for a while. But the reason why I’m sharing it is because I forgot how much I loved this moisturiser. The past couple of months I’ve been switching up moisturisers a lot and somehow forgot the fact that this Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel is just incredible. I knew it was good, but I didn’t realise how incredible it was again until I decided to re-review it for my blog because I bought a new bottle of it. At this moment I realised that I’m so in love with this moisturiser and I never want to stop using it.
The thing with this moisturiser is that it has the most incredible texture ever. It’s very lightweight, thin and it sinks into the skin within seconds. In addition to that it feels really smooth to the touch and it actually smoothens your skin in a way. It all may sound a little vague, but trust me. It does make you feel really smooth. Thanks to that I feel like my makeup looks extra pretty on top of it and that’s a big plus as well! If you do have oily to combination skin, I’d highly recommend using this!
To stay within the skincare category, my next favourite are these masks by The Body Shop. My sister gave me these three because she didn’t really use them anymore and I was very excited to give all of them a go. So obviously that’s what I did. Since I’m a big Body Shop lover I did know that the chances were pretty big that I was going to like these masks. However, I didn’t know they were going to be this amazing. I even found a really great combination to use that makes my skin feel super, super smooth and soft.
The thing I usually do is I first apply the Himalayan Charcoal Mask and let that sit for about 5 to 10 minutes. Not longer because that will make my skin irritated. When I’ve washed it off, I will follow up with a bit of the Ethiopian Honey Mask to sooth and soften the skin. I’ll let that sit for about 10 minutes as well and that’s it. This results in the most smooth and soft skin I have ever had and it gets me these great foundation days. So well, I love this combination and these masks!
Moving on to some makeup. My first makeup favourite of the month is the Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Blush. I bought this a while back because it has been on my wishlist for as long as I can remember and I’m so glad I did it. This really is the best blush in the entire universe and I get why I have been wanting it for so long. It’s not just the fact that the colour is stunning. It’s also that the texture is so smooth and rich. It is a very luxurious product, but for me it is totally worth it. I really want to grow my YSL blush collection now!
Another beauty favourite is the Chanel Dimensions de Chanel Mascara. I know I have mentioned this before, but I hadn’t used it in a while and even though I’ll always keep raving about it, I didn’t know how amazing it was again. Until recently when I decided to use it again and my lord. This mascara is just wich craft. I don’t know who is behind this, but this stuff is everything my lashes will ever need. Somehow it isn’t a very popular or much talked about mascara, but that doesn’t have anything to do with the quality. This is the best mascara I have tried so far and you definitely should try it!
And that leads us to my last two favourites of the month. Both of them are base makeup products and both of them are amazing. The first one is the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint. I have been using this for a while now and the longer I use it, the more I fall in love with it. It’s a bit of a mousse-like product, which initially didn’t seem that great to me, but it’s amazing. It has great coverage, it looks really natural and somehow it stays in place incredibly well. It also has a very pretty yellowy undertone to it which looks very flattering on my skin. I am a huge, huge fan of this product!
The last favourite is this MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. I bought this after reading a review about it and I’m so glad I did. Initially I wasn’t too crazy about MAC concealers, but this stuff is good. It’s a very thin and liquidy formula that blends really easily, but it also has amazing coverage and is extremely long wearing. Because of the thin formula it looks really natural and it’s perfect for anything you want to cover, ranging from blemishes to under eye circles.
That concludes my September favourites. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what you think of my favourites and which products you have been loving lately!
